Gosh, I sympathize with you! It really is hard when your babe doesn't stop crying, and you have no idea whats wrong.
If you have had her checked from head to toe, and by two different Dr's, then I would say that it might be teething, or milk intolerance. This can cause considerable dis-comfort, and have no outward signs initially.
I think that you need to go and see a pediatrician, and stand your ground, tell them that your daughter cries constantly and for long periods of time, and this IS NOT normal.
Any doctor that's solution is to give you medication for PPD is not doing their job properly!
Hang in there, and go with you gut feeling. If you feel that something is definitely wrong, then you are probably right on the money.

First off, you may want to take her to a different doctor, there may be something that your current provider isn't seeing.
I also had a terrible time with my first child, he cried all the time and didn't sleep through a night until he was about four years old, and even at that point it was rare. He is now a well rounded, happy six year old, but I still wonder why he was such a miserable baby and toddler.
It may be belly trouble, try switching formulas to something lactose free. Or if you nurse, maybe something you are ingesting and passing along is irritating her. Try to get into a routine with her and learn how to read her moods to avoid any tantrums before they start.
I found with my child that when he was cranky, I would give him a Reese's peanut butter cup and that would change his mood, I thought it was a blood sugar thing, but his doctor didn't agree. Maybe you could try to give her some juice or fruit when she gets in a "mood", see if it makes a difference.
Basically, just hang in there. being a mother is really hard, and it doesn't help to look around and see other mothers with well behaved children (it's not your fault), take some deep breaths and time to yourself to calm down and pretty soon you will figure out what makes her tick and the two of you will be on easy street

Hello,
Did you check out the already answered Q&A's?
With in 2 weeks ago THIS same question was posted. Please go back and read those answers, they had good tips.
Maybe this, she she now or just got moved to her own room? New toys? Anything new? My baby was 4 1/2 months old. When she came to me, all she did was scream NU STOP!!!
It was that she has been to some many homes, poeple, parties. So I had to wrap her like a mumy in a warm blanket and sing, rock her to sleep. Didn't let anyone but family & close friends around. This worked in about 2 weeks she setteled right down. I sang same song, read same book all the day or night. IT DID PAY OFF.
back yes go back and check out those answers.
Also go to other doc. If still goes on. You know your baby better than anyone else.

Are you and the other adults you mentioned in the habit of holding her 24/7? Does she cry even when you are holding her, or just when you put her down? If its just when she's not being held it's just a bad habit you need to break. But if she truly cries all the time even when you are holding her, I"d say get a second opinion and some tests done. Food allergies, etc.

Get a second opinion if you really do believe something might be wrong with her, I doubt it's you.
Everyone is entitled to a second opinion.
Remember, she could always just be fussy and want something she can't tell you about.
But just to be safe have her checked out by a different doctor, and make sure the doctor checks everything that could be wrong with her.
Good luck :)

My granddaughter too is 8 months old. She is teething a lot lately. Smear some Anbesol on her gums and see if that quiets the crying. On really bad days, we also give infant Tylenol.

i agree on the second opinion. it took me taking my daughter to 5 doctors before they told me she had a milk allery! all of the other "doctors" said she had colic! the only time my daughter wasn't frying was when she was asleep! get a second opinion, and a third, etc. until the find what the problem is! good luck!

She could be colicky. Some babies between a month to three months develop colick and grow out of it, but some can have it for an extended period of time. Ask your Dr. and have her checked...she may be sick.

if the baby is on formula, maybe it is allergic to the formula or if your breast feeding maybe the baby is not getting enough for some reason
