I love them.
New made up names can be very irritating...

I personally like the funkier names, but they will be old fashion one day too! Everything comes back in style. Check out http://www.fertilitygal.com/Top-1000-Baby-Names.html for a list of the top 1000 baby names in the US during 2005. Alice is number 414 and William is number 11!

Would he be happy with Willy or Bill ?
I think they are both sensible and certainly not cute! My grandmother was named Alice pre 1900 (which I suddenly remembered ) but the name is coming back at least in the UK .
William is a little staid , old fashioned and early 20th C , so unless he looks that way I would think again.
They have got to last their lives so its an important decision.

The name Alice reminds me of the song 'Alice, who the f*ck is Alice?' So I'm not keen on that name. But William is a strong name that can be shortend to Billy or Liam which can be cute when their babies but also strong when they're adults.

Like i've said to others, giving a baby it's name is a privilege for the parents. Each name has it's own uniqueness and I think the names you have chosen are lovely. I've got a son named Jayson, and am expecting baby #2. If it's a girl, her name will be Charlotte :)

Alice is way cute!

William is nice, but like me, Im having it as part of my child's middle name. I think children might be a bit nasty with william (willy) etc. Or perhaps you could shorten it to Billy?

If you like traditional names what about ....
George
Finn
Harry
Alfie
Henry

Alice is not my style...sorry.

I love William. I am planning on using it for a middle name, if my child happens to be a boy (after my dad).

I LOVE old fashioned names for babies. It's easy for people to pronounce, usually easier to spell, and think about when your child is 90. Who knows a 85 year old DayShawn? I love the names you picked out. They are too cute.

Both classics. I like Alice, not so keen on William.
