So... i'm 35 weeks tomorrow... and all day today i've been feeling sluggish and just plain gross. and i'm wondering if this could be affecting my baby and making him feel the same?

he was moving fine last night, and he was moving fine earlier... but i haven't felt him move in awhile. like, a few hours. and this is his usual time of activity. i keep trying to nudge him to make him move. i've felt a couple nudges back, but nothing like he usually does. just a punch out and then he moved his butt over so i'd stop pushing him. but he usually flails or something.

he started dropping this week, so his head is further down, and i keep getting this weird pain in my left hip. this is my first pregnancy, and its just making me really nervous.

.. she does not bite at home and at daycare there is one particular child she tends to constantly bite .I have made a doctors appointment with her pediatrician but I am unsure what good that is going to do ... I do not know what to do because she is not doing this at home... She has an older sister who is 6 and she does not attempt to bite her ... she is cutting her back teeth so that could be a culprit.my oldest daughter never bit when she was a child but she never went to daycare ether I stayed home with her. i have no alternative daycare for her due to I work and so does my family .I feel bad for this little girl my child keeps biting and would like for this behavior to stop ... BTW Im not going to just bite her i dont want to confuse her by her thinking this person who is supposed lo love me just bite and hurt me. also a few months ago a certain boy used to bite her all the time ...

I used to sing to my son while I was pregnant. Always the same song and I did it every day. Well he's two weeks old today and he was fussy yesterday so I thought I would sing him that song. He calmed right down and went to sleep. Does he remember this song or is it just my voice that soothes him?

I am TTC and I have found everything in the world of pregnancy is SO vague. So I thought I would throw this question out to see what the majority of you "felt" like when TTC or conceived. Some women say they just knew they were pregnant and felt symptoms almost immediatly, others say it wasn't until 6-8 weeks. I know everyone is different, but I thought a would do a survey if you will...!

It felt like something was stuck in my vagina (like a tampon) so I used a (clean) finger to reach inside a little bit, and felt my cervix. My finger was not even in as far as my second knuckle.

Does this mean anything?

I have been having mild cramping, but no contractions and this is my second pregnancy.

I'm watching my cousin's daughter, she is 2. I have been watching her for almost 3 months now, Mon-Thurs from 12-6pm. I also have a 3 & 9 year old of my own ,and watch my sister's daughters--3 & 8. The problem I am having with watching her is that almost every week so far there are a couple of days that they don't bring her and they don't call me untill after it is already time for them to drop her off. So basically my day is wasted because I end up waiting around for them to drop her off and they don't, I could be out doing things I need to get done. I don't want them to be mad but I just don't want to babysit for them any more. Also when they don't bring her, I don't get paid---being a stay at home mom, I need the money and I have another babysitting job lined up that pays more and is reliable--meaning I'll get paid no matter what. What should I do?

It is extremely difficult to be both a good father and a good husband? Same question for the women (wife/mother).

I just found out that I'm 5 weeks pregnant with my first child, and I am ecstatic. I was told for years that I would never be able to conceive, so this is my miracle baby. I've been cramping off and on (mild to moderate) for the past few days. There has been no bleeding (thank God) and other than being ridiculously tired, I feel perfectly fine. Is the cramping normal? My doctor told me it was because it's my ligaments stretching and everything adjusting to the changes, but I'm still very worried. Should I be?

Both of my children have chores that need done around the house. For my olderst sons birthday my husband and I got him a gerbel. For the past week the gerbel has been missing. When I asked my son where the thing went he told me god took it. This really upset me because the way he said it really worried my husband and I. Then just an hour ago i was vaccuming the dining room and the bag blew up because somehing inside of it was too big to fit. When it blew up dusy particles and odd chunky stuff went flying in the air. Thats when I realized it was teh gerbel that "god took" what should I do?? How do I handle this as aparet?

I am bottle feeding my newborn.Through my pregnancy I had planned on breastfeeding.I read all about it and felt certain I would breastfeed.Well the night my daughter was born I was sent to postpartum about an hour after I gave birth. She came out of me hungry. (She was literally rooting 5 minutes after she was born!!) But instead of getting a half decent nurse, I got Broom Hilda! This nasty, wicked woman came into my room and started off by literally shoving my baby onto my breast.I was shocked and very angry.Everything I'd read said NEVER to force a baby onto the breast. The nurse got mad and was a real b**ch to me. Right then I said to myself, screw breastfeeding.I demanded the nurse get me a bottle and leave me and my baby alone. My baby was crying and hungry and I was determined to feed her. I do feel some regret about not breastfeeding but she is thriving on the bottle. What I would like to know is why so many people look down on bottle-feeding?My child is healthy and nourished.

My 2 year old has many food allergies, and has recently developed and allergy to cats. Her allergist prescribed Zyrtec 1/4 teaspoon PRN. (as needed). My friends son had a very bad reaction to Zyrtec, as well as many other children in my playgroup. They started banging their heads on walls, biting children at school, and many other horrible side effects that stopped when they stopped taking Zyrtec. Has anybody heard of this? I was thinking of using Claritin for children, does anybody have any experience with this? I just want to do what is best for my child, like any other Mommy.

Can you feel every real contraction with your hand? Do they tighten all over the belly every single time? I have what I think are contractions but I can only feel part of my abdomin tightening. I don't feel tightening under my breast bone, but do all below. Especially below the belly button.

Has anyone ever gotten a flu shot when they were pregnant? I heard that all pregnant women should get a flu shot and their children in the family should as well. Our family has never gotten a flu shot before. Has anyone had any reactions from getting the shot. Some people say that you can get the flu, at least some systoms from the shot. Thanks for the opinions!!

my oldest 2 gave me their Christmas lists, and the youngest 5 mailed theirs to Santa. Every year every child gets one big thing, and a majority of smaller things, and every single child put for their big thing on their lists that they wanted to go to Disney World on Christmas Day. So I'm taking them to Disney World on Christmas Day (it's a good thing we live an hour away from it, none of them have been to Disney before). My question is, any ideas on how I can get everything ready and keep them from finding out (I mean not a clue), and how to surprise them come Christmas morning? i want to get there early, so do i just wake them up at 5 am (i'll prolly be up all night getting snacks, lunches, xtra clothes, etc. ready) and yell "get your shoes on, we're goin' to Disney World", or what? they are ages 5-13 if that helps. and also which park is most "magical" during winter season? (i've never been before either). thanks for any and all advice,
Ricky.

I know there are two ways Dads usually used the belt:

The "wrapper." : he'd hold the buckle in his closed hand, wrap the excess length of the belt around his hand but leave about a foot or so of the belt hanging lose. In other words, you get spanked with the end of the belt that had the buckle holes.

The "folder." : he would double the belt and spank the kid while holding both the buckle & the opposite end in his hand. His belt kept a crease about mid--way of its length. That way, you get spanked with a loop of leather.

My dad was a diehard 'folder'.

How about yours?

My son brought home a history test that he had failed. The teacher wanted me to sign it and send it back. I have no problem with that. The problem I have is that the piece of paper I am looking at it only has a,b,c,d answers on it. I can't see what the questions were and I don't know what the answer options were. I don't feel like I can help my son if I am not able to see what it is he is having problems with. My seven year old will bring home a spelling test and I can see what he did wrong and help him with it. Granted the test is over and done with but I think he still needs to know what he did wrong and what the right answer is. This is a subject he struggles in any way. I have requested a parent/ teacher meeting but the teacher won't set one up. My husband finally had to go to the school today to get the guidance councilor to set one up. I don't blame the teacher for his failing grades but I do wish that she would enable me to help him more at home.

To every female or male on here looking for answers to live out there dream. The time will come. It's a very depressing thing when everyone around you has what you want and been trying for so long. I want to say to everyone to PLEASE keep your head up and your heart open, because the time will come. I know it's the hardest thing to wait for when it seems like it should be the easiest thing to do, at least for other people (it seems easy). Just do everything you supposed to and prepare yourself to bring your baby in the world. Because ladies and gentlemen. THIS IS OUR YEAR!!!

Good Luck to Everyone!!! Baby Dust to All!!!!!

What is "Midwife's Formula"?
I know it's some all natural Homeopathic remedy to help you go into labor, but I can't find ANY more information about it on the internet!!
Does it really work??
How well does it work??
Are there any effects on the baby??
What else can you tell me??
P.S. PLEASE BE NICE!!!! I also don't care for "smart remarks" either; thank you!

My sister is 3 cm dialated and 35 weeks and 4 days with her first. She is due Dc. 9 and I was just wondering how long it may take until she gives birth.

I don't want to sound rude or anything, but my husband and I live 9 hours away from home (military) and have kinda planned around my sisters pregnancy as to when we will travel back for my baby shower/going away party since we are moving to England. We plan on leaving next Friday and staying until Dec. 1. We thought we could go before the baby is due since she also lives 13 hours away from family.

I don't want to end up going home and her having the baby and then me being there without my mom, since she will want to be with my sister. My parents haven't seen us since June and we will be moving to England from the USA in late January and won't be able to travel much considering I am pregnant and it cost a lot.

Just wanted some opions on how much longer she may have. Thanks.
