My husband hates the name. I think it's awesome. I would even call her Cheye/Shy/Chy(?) for short.

theres only two people that know that i might be pregnant...
my boyfriend and an older guy that i trust and doesnt know anyone i know so he cant tell them...
my boyfriend doesnt have any money and the other guy i never see i just talk to him over msn, and at the moment i dont have any money
any ideas of how to get money for a test... i think i need £10-£15
if i am pregnant i will keep it because im really against abortion (im also against killing animals including flies and spiders so im not likely to change my mind even though i have no money to look after a child) but how do i tell my mum?
what should i say and when and what situation should it be in???

I found out I was 5 weeks pregnant about 2 weeks ago so now I'm around supposedly 7 weeks. I have not had my period since early-mid september which was why I tested. I was shocked bc my periods are usually irregular anyway. I took a urine pregnancy test at my hmo and it was a positive result, also took it at planned parenthood and they 2 said it was positive but at first they couldn't find my specimen! I'm thinking is it possible they were reading someone else's result? And as for the hmo test could it be a false positive? Then I had my ob-gyn doctor do a vaginal ultrasound with really low tech equipment by the way and she said I was around 5 weeks approx. I saw the "embryo/fetus" on the screen on the bottom far right side of the scan of my womb and it was the size of my fingernail, she said it was the "gestational sac". But couldn't it have been actually a uterine cyst or tumor or something instead? How can doctors differentiate between a uterine cyst/tumor and actual fetus/embryo

My mum lives 3and 1/2 hours away ( on a good journey ) and i really miss her - I have a 12 week onld boy and i am not finding mothering hard just being lonely.
have made some friends at a mother and baby group but still find myself wanting my mum nearby.
I am also now scared to go shopping as some guy in Waitrose watched me breastfeed my boy and then when i went to leave the store he accused me of trying to steal the nappies which were under my pram - i had a reciept from boots and a bag tied to them to say where they cam from but he sid he saw me take them on CCTV!!!
Now i am afraid to go to the shops on my own sometimes i don't take the reciept as i end up with millions in my bag i only took one this time because i forgot my points card. Also they ask if you need a bag now because they want to save the amount of plastics being used i always say no because everything can just go under the pram. Any ideas i am now worried i could be heading for PND!!

what things did you buy that turned out to be useless? Was there anything you thought would be essential and in the end was not used at all?

My little one (4 months today) has been very fussy as of late ... Yesterday, she burst out crying in the grocery store, which is very unusual; but, she calmed when I picked her up. She didn't have a temp and the rest of the day was "ok". She woke me up screaming tonight, which she never does ... Again, no temp; I nursed her back to sleep. Just wondering if this is common with teething. She's been drooling for weeks and the world is a giant chew toy for her. I know teething causes fussiness, but this sounds more like pain crying. I'm calling the doc first thing in the morning, but am just curious if this behavior sounds like possible teething?? Anyone have any similar experiences?

I'm an adopted child, and having met a few others in my life, am struck by the fact that feel like I'm in the minority because I'm not going to look for my birth parents.

I just feel like my adopted parents ARE my parents; they took care of me when I was sick, shouted at me when I let my schoolwork slip, and cried at my wedding. It wasn't all easy by a long shot (in fact, when I was a teenager we had some downright awful times) but they were always my parents. Who else could I call Mom and Dad?

Also, who knows where my birth mother is? I wish her all the best, but if she's got her life together, does she need me to shift her balance? It just seems too complicated for everyone involved.

Like I said, though, I know I'm in the minority. Are there any other adoptees out there who are not planning to find their birth parents? Why or why not?

I have a 4 day old baby and I'm trying to breastfeed her. My nipples are VERY sore and cracked although Iam putting on cream etc. Still waiting for midwives visit to advise on correct latching. Last night whilst breast feeding baby started spitting out milk with blood in it, making me very upset for her. I really dont want to use powdered milk but I was thinking for the next 2-3 days until my nipples get better can I use it in addition to pumped milk? will she still latch on if i do this?

She is about 5 weeks pregnant. She cannot keep anything down, solids or liquids. People tell her to eat crackers and drink tea, but she can't because it comes right back up about 10 minutes later! There has to be something she can do. She constantly complains of being very hungry, but can't keep anything down. HELP!

My 8 year old son will not pee at school and holds it all day. Today when I picked him up I had to get some shopping done. We live 20 minutes from town so going home first would have been unreasable. After about an hour he started crying saying he had to go bad. I took him to the bathroom, but he refused to go saying it will not come out. I finished up the shopping and took him home which took another hour. On the ride back he was in horrible pain. I asked him when was the last time he went and he said when he woke up at 7:00 am! When we got home at 5:30 he peed for a minute and a half. I asked him why he will not go away from home and he says he just can not get it to come out. So it looks like he has a shy bladder. Anyone elses kids hold it all day. Have you ever had an issue with them going in public. I always thought he just had a big bladder since he never had to go. The poor thing has been walking around with a full bladder all those times.

The problem is that lately
1) all they do is that she tell me that they hit her and
2)she blames everything wrong she does on her imaginary friends, and she would not admit that she did those things? Any suggestions?
