Don't worry you will get your back!!
My man used to annoy me, because he would rev up our 2yo twins at bedtime and then go to work! I would be suck trying to get them to bed. Fun
He has just taken 1 months holidays. I pulled the boys out of preschool so they could spend more time with daddy. When I got up to go to work I would wake them up, let them in with Daddy. LOL! I don't think he really appreciated 2yo twins jumping all over him.
I made him do everything while I was at work (3 days a week). Poor darling I bet he can't wait for the next 2 weeks to be up! All I did was rev the kids up.
He turned around to me this week and told me how he appreciated how much I do at home. It's nice to know.
After the first day he has been much more helpful!
Hope you get some sleep soon!!

My husband does stupid things like that too, as do all parents at some point or another. I assume that your husband's not the one caring for her all day (since he's sound asleep in order to go to work tomorrow)? Dads just have different ways of doing things than Moms do, especially Dads that aren't caregiving 24/7 (not to say that napping until 9PM is a good thing).
I found it really hard not to nit-pick at my husband's parenting skills, or to strong-arm him into doing things my way. I argued that since I did most of the caregiving all day, that I had a system of schedules and techniques that I learned (mostly the hard way), that he should listen to me and my new found experience. But really I was undermining his self-esteem as a new father. Eventually I came to grip with the fact that there's more than one right way to be a parent. And that unless the baby is a risk of bodily harm, it's better to just let him figure out his own way of being the best Dad he can be.
But there are still times I have a hard time biting my tongue... Good luck, hope you get an extra long nap time this afternoon!

Because he's a pillock! If the kid was tired why didn't he just put her to bed? Mine used to be in the bath by 6:30 and bed before 7 at that age or they just weren't fit to live with.

I recommend you do what I used to; next time he has a day off, just clear off out and leave him to it. Roll ack in when *you* feel like it (even if you just go round your mum's or a mate's and sleep!) Sharpens daddy's thinking up a treat - esp if he was banking on a nice lie in.

Its because he don't want to deal with her. I sometims let my daughter take a nap at that time but its usally when i don't have to work the next day so no worries for my wife an we both get to sleep in.

just let him know that on his day off you will put her to bed super early the night before so that he has to get up with her early the next morning. i know how you feel cuz my husband has done the same thing.. his excuse was that he didnt realize it was so late and he figured that since it was she would sleep all night.. when , in reality... im sure he was enjoying the peace and quiet while he watched tv lol

probably because he was looking after her in that time and thought if he let her sleep he would get a bit of piece and quiet they don't think or care of the consequences do they. Now he is fast asleep and your the one with a now very awake 2YO

do you mean take a nap? I would be getting him up to be with her. Work or no work. How stupid is he to let her sleep at 6pm?
