My one month old daughter had been really fussy today and straining to poop. She just pooped and it was just a little and it was hard. Like a rabbit pellett type poop but larger about one inch. Should I call the doctor? Or is this okay?

i would like to know the pros and cons to each and why doctors reccomend natural birth. i am putting my baby up for adoption and i guess im just reaching out and thinking that cesarean would maybe be easier because its not all pain and then this crying little miracle. im not saying it will be easy but i just want to know why people disagree with cesarean

I have tried the occasional swat on the behind, but not hard, I HATE hitting period, I have only done it to startle him and it seems that the 3 times I have done he than feels that it "is ok" to hit. Time outs do not work anymore as he has gotten older. Any suggestions on how I can make him realize that hitting period is not acceptable behavior? I am at a lost.

I was wondering about those people who go into their prenatal appointments and are like 3 cm's dilated.... How far do you have to be dilated before you have to stay in the hospital/ be induced/ go into labor etc.... ?? Or is there even really such a thing??

My two boys, who are identical twins and, save the odd scrap, have always been very close, started nursery school properly about four months ago. For a couple of weeks they both seemed very happy with the arrangment, and from the chats that I had with the nursery staff, both were fitting in with ease, but I'm now beginning to notice small signs that one of them, probably the most introverted of the two, is becoming less happy with sharing the nursery with his brother.

I've never had them wear the same clothes, and have tried, by letting them decide individually what toys and games they like, to give them each a chance to be their own person, but now one of my boys is constantly asking to be away from his brother, and is either withdrawn and quiet or agressive and, to be honest, just plain nasty around him, and it's starting to worry me; even the staff at their nursery have picked up on it. Is there anything that me and my husband can do to prevent it, but still be fair to both boys?

Phone call from the police and you are told that the child you have been raising for ten years is not your bio child, there was a mix up at the hospital , just now disovered. Do you trade in your child, the one you have raised loved and cared for, you thought was your flesh and blood for your real true bio child?? do you take that child from the only fmily he/she knows? my son is 2 1/2 months old and eats like crazy. i have been trying not to oeverfeed him. but here is his eating times. 7 am. 10-1030 am, nap 3 - 330 pm, 6 - 630 pm and then again around 9 or so pm. he usually sleeps all night or wake up around 4 and thats it. is this too much? sometimes he will nurse for a while before the bottle too. right now his weight is in the 40th percentile as well as his length,. so is the feeding amount ok?

I'm farr away from having a kid, but I'm just wondering when that time comes, say they're in Kindergarden (5-6 yrs), is it alright if I use the soap on tongue method if they start to swear? Like saying the F word for instance? I've heard this is a good one and doesn't harm what-so-ever, but what're your comments?

First of all, I cannot go to the doctors because my mother says she does not have the money to pay for me. I do not have insurance either. I am supposed to sign up to get some thru my work this week...on Thursday, but I do not know when I will actually receive it. My period has been freakishly weird for the past few months. For 35 days, my period did not stop at all. It was really light though, I thought it could have been implantation bleeding. But I had a pregnancy test done, and it was negative. I was put on birth control to regulate it. I started it on 25 August. The period stopped on 27. 5 days later, it started again except this time it was really heavy. This one lasted 2 1/2 weeks. When it finally ended, it waited a month, then started in October about the same time. This one lasted 7 days, but was freakishly heavy. One day, I had a tampon and a pad soaked in less than 2 hours. It remained heavy for pretty much the whole week. This month, it started yesterday.

Can you please suggest a first name to go with Adam as the middle name?
I was thinking Adam Noah but not sure if I want Adam as the 1st name.. I don't think a lot of people like the name Adam. I know it shouldn't matter as long as I like it.. but I just wanted to hear other boys name that would go with Adam as the middle name.. thank you!

Just curious. I had my daughter on July 23rd of this year so it's been almost 4 months now. I had her vaginally and I tore & had some stiches. I wouldn't say it still "hurts", but everything down there just feels different. When we try to have sex, it feels tighter in weird places and creates a pulling (almost like tearing) sensation, not bad, just uncomfortable. Not to mention, I'm in total mommy-mode. I'm not really interested in sex. Thank goodness my husband is as into our daughter as I am. By the end of the day after we both work and come home and take care of her we just crash for the night. On the weekends I'm so excited to spend time with her I'm just not really in the mood to have sex, you know? I've discussed this with my husband so he doesn't feel that I'm neglecting him. I also got an IUD about a month ago and I've been spotting EVERYday since :(

I only buy each child three presents.This year I may only be able to afford one good/ larger priced item and a smaller toys. I ahve 3 children. But what is a good educational toy. I want to buy each child something just for them a non share item. This year he isnt saying or showing lots of interest in an item.So I am clueless. I don't want to get him video games to attach to the computer or television. He has a leapster and enjoys that.

I've been trying since my son was 18 months books, videos, bribes, toys, stickers, talking about it he's been around other children that use the potty he has underwear we've tried taking away diapers he just uses his underwear like a diaper and then it's harder to clean up right now he's using training pants. He has 3 different potty's all sorts of training stuff. I'm a stay at home mom so I'm always here with him. My mom said that I can't force him because then it could create a bigger problem like he could hold it indefinantly like some kids do when they're pushed but I have other parents telling me to rush him. I want to lead him into doing what's right but not to force him. I need something thats gonna change his mind. He wants to go to school but he has to be trained first and I can't get him to understand that. I'd like him to be trained by when he's 4 that will be in April but I'm starting to think it's impossible to train him.

In the mall the other day I saw a young girl (about 4 or 5) who was coughing and not covering her mouth. The mother did not say anything. Further, when a presumed friend of this girl told the girl to cover her mouth, the mother said this was unnecessary.

What is your opinion on this?

My 3 year old step daughter and I are very close. She loves for me to do her hair, dress her up, hold her, etc. all the things that mommies do with their little girls basically. (her mother doesnt show her that much attention) Once she called me mommy and then became shy like she wasnt sure if she should. I dont mind and my husband thinks its adorable . He even says he wishes I was her mom instead. His ex girlfriend still loves my husband and I know she would not like her daughter calling me mommy. If i dont mind her calling me mommy and her dad doesnt is it okay to encourage her to do so and let her know its okay to call me mommy if she wants to or should I encourage her NOT to do it?

I am 11 weeks pregnant and all i keep craving is alot of chinese and asian foods. Especially steamed rice and general tsos chicken. I know that chinese food is fattening but its all that ever sounds good. Must other food just grosses me out. So should i eat it anyways because i am craving it, or should i find something more healthy to eat and fource myself to eat it even though it grosses me out?
