How do you discipline them and do you have goals for your future?

What happens if your husband is not on the same page and has a different work schedule? we are going through marriage counseling after being marrried ten yrs now and the first session. I said bedtime nine pm shower 8pm transition slowdown time no horsing around evenings because he LOVES nights because of work nights.
I do days he wanted to work days before never did.
I could have said that before the counselor and tried. But he never listened to me. I think this is a waste of money. What shall I do. Do you think he thinks of me as a no good mom and takes other peoples advice over ME instead? I think! I went to college work part time at school and volunteer. And do all the chores...
How do I get through to him that he should listen to me and not waste money ( well paid by insurance), and spend time on positive thinking to get the marriage on track before the eight sessions are up! Should I give it 7 more sessions and think to be on my own since I am anyway? ADVICE!
Thanks

I have 1 child. I discipline in a variety of ways depending on the wrongdoing. The worst form of punishment from his view point is ignoring him( for example if he is being rude I will not answer him). My goals are to raise a responsible, independent, moral, trustworthy man. Which given the influences in society will be damn hard to do.

I have four kids, ages 15, 8, 5 and 1. As for discipline it really depends on their age, I wouldn't treat my oldest like my youngest. I also have never had the heart to be very harsh about punishment for doing something wrong, we do time outs and ground the older ones but thats about it.
Of course I have goals, as do my girls. My oldest is thinking about college and we're helping her get things in place to help her go where she wants. My others are younger so they are more focused on skills, like my eight year old is really into sports and my five year old is learning to read.

I have 2 daughters. They are 1 and 2. When the 2 year old gets introuble time out works great. The 1 year old, we are still trying to find something that works since she is so small. My plans for the future are to finish school and give my kids a great future.

I have a ten-year-old son and a twelve-year-old daughter. I try to make punishments for my children fit the crime, like if my son was being mean to my daughter he would make it up to her by playing a game with her or something to that extent. My goal is to raise my children into respectable and responsible adults.

I have 4. I disapline them according to age, and what they have done. My childrens ages go from 19 to 2, therefore, im not going to disapline my 4 year old in the same manner as i do my 12 year old.

Well, I only have one and my son is only 9 weeks old so I don't discipline him just yet. But when the time comes I plan on spanking him on the butt or his hand when he does something deservable of it. I am against beating your children but a spanking in my eyes is totally different. I feel that is what society's children are lacking these days!!!!

i have a three year old named hailey madison. just potty trained her, yay!! and i also have six month old twins named jewel leona and mia noël.

i usually just stand hailey in the corner when she gets in trouble. however old she is, that's how long she stays in the corner.

i plan on returning back to school soon to get my teaching certificate.

I am expecting my 5th child and am raising one step child.

We dicipline moslty by time outs and loss of priviliges.

My goals for them is to be happy in their lives no matter what they choose in life.
