Did you guys have your sons circumcised or not? I always wanted to have my son circ. but once he got here I changed my mind...He was 100% perfect and I didn't feel like we needed to change anything about him. Anyone else go through the same thing?

My partner says he wants to wait 5 years before we start trying for a baby. He is 30, and im 20.

I dont think i can wait that long, but have been told i might not ever concieve.

We dont use contraception, apart from withdrawal method.
He has also said if it happens then it happens.

Do you think he is wanting a family now, but its too scared to say because of my gynae problems?

im about 5 days late on my period. i tested 3 days ago to have a negative test. i didnt get any symptoms when i was preggo with my son (hes 6 months old) until i was a week and a half late. my breasts are a bit sensitive. (could be oncoming period or pregnancy). last night we had sex before bed and i went to the bathroom and there was a bit of blood when i wiped. i thought i was starting my period so i put in a tampon. i changed it four hours later only to pull it out and realize it was NOT my period. there was nothing on the tampon, only what i had originally wiped off. to be honest, i was happy i saw that blood last night because like i said, we have a 6 month old and we're not prepared for another baby. i've talked about it with my husband and he says he doesnt think we can handle another baby and that he couldnt go through with adoption. so, in his mind, you know what that leaves. i am morally against it and could NEVER go that route. im scared that this might tear us apart if i am

Has anyone heard that taking Robitussin while ttc can cause spinal bifida? I have another question posted about TTC and Robitussin on if it is helpful in thinning cervical mucus. I have read and been told it does help. But someone posted that it can cause Spinal Bifida and nervous disorders. I would have thought the book "Taking Charge of Your Fertility" which recommends taking Robitussin would mention this risk and I also have another book that states nothing of this risk. My doctor told me to buy the "TCOYF" book and follow its advice. Please help me find out if this is true or not. Thanks

She's been eating fruits for awhile, apples, bananas, pears, but they don't fill her up. When can a baby start eating veggies? What signs should I be watching for? Maybe a good website? Thanks everyone.

I understand that her caloric intake HAS to increase by at least 300 to support the child but what other foods are good for the baby?

I already know that 'diets' are off-limits too.

No caffeine, booze, artificial sweeteners, etc. are off limits.

What else?

What things would be good to eat?

Did you know that 25-35% of young people in residential treatment centers are adoptees? That's 17 times the norm. Adoptees are morelikely to have problems with drugs and alcohol abuse, eating disorders, ADD, and suicide?

And that adoptees are 15 times more likely than their non-adopted peers to kill their adopters? Adoptees represent 16% of all serial killers but are only 2-3% of the general population?

Why does this institution continue in all but the most dire cases? Is it because it's a $1.4 billion business?

He'll be 3 weeks old on Thursday and he eats 4 oz of formula every 3 to 3 1/2 hours. I've been looking online at how much he should be eating because now he's acting like he's still hungry. Is this weird? He got weighed at 2 weeks and he had already passed his birth weight.

I've taken like four pregnancy tests and they've all been positive. I am not able to get to a doctor tell our new insurance policy kicks in, and am wondering about the toxioplasmosis (not sure of the correct spelling or pronunciation, but you get it by cleaning cat boxes). I have two cats, there my babies, do I have to get rid of them? And can you get the sickness from an indoor rabbit? Any info on this would be great, thanks!

My daughter is turning 1 this week and I would like a few opinions on the following:

a) how many naps should she have?
b) how many bottles of formula / day should she have or should I be moving onto growing-up milks?
c) when can we stop giving formula / growing-up milks altogether?
d) when will her poo's become less gooey and more like stools?

Her routine at the moment:
7.30/8am - breakfast
10am - formula bottle then nap
1pm - lunch
3pm - bottle then nap
6.30 - dinner
7pm - bottle then sleep
Breakfast is iron fortified baby cereal, rest of meals are whatever we eat. She is not fussy, has a good appetite. She has between 2 & 4 250ml sippy cups of juice/ day. Past week she seems to play with her bottles rather than drink them as usual. And either the morning or afternoon nap has been a fight to get her to sleep. She does eat some sweets etc on weekends as a treat.

My kid has pulled 4 teeth in two weeks. 2 had teeth growing in right away. The other 2 I only see a hole in the gum. She has one tooth that is really wiggly that has been that way for weeks ,but not ready to come out. Last night she pulled a tooth that I don' think was even wiggly. She's special needs and may just want the tooth fairy to come. But is it possible for a non-wiggly not ready tooth to be pulled by a 7 yr old? I wanted to ask here before calling the dentist.

i am doing a project for my consumer behavior class on the consumption habits of first time mothers when choosing a daycare service. One of the key factors i need to find is which method of search you used to chose your daycare (i.e. internet, word of mouth, commercials).

i figure that you all have been there you would be the best people to ask. If you could provide me with that information along with any other informations that you think might be helpful to me about how you went about purchsing the daycare service, that would be great. Thank you all so very much.
