My kid has pulled 4 teeth in two weeks. 2 had teeth growing in right away. The other 2 I only see a hole in the gum. She has one tooth that is really wiggly that has been that way for weeks ,but not ready to come out. Last night she pulled a tooth that I don' think was even wiggly. She's special needs and may just want the tooth fairy to come. But is it possible for a non-wiggly not ready tooth to be pulled by a 7 yr old? I wanted to ask here before calling the dentist.

Thanks to all who answered. I do have a dental appt set up. I did look at her tooth chart a couple of hours ago. Two years ago she lost 6 teeth in less than 4 weeks. they were ready to come out because I pulled them. They all immediately grew in. She may just loose a lot of teeth at once. It has been two years since she lost a tooth. But to be on the safe side she is going to the dentist. Thanks again.

It is possible. My son pulled a tooth when he was 8 that wasn't anywhere near ready to be pulled. He pulled it when he was at school. He brought it home and the root was almost entirely intact. I don't know how he managed to do it, but he did. I think he just wanted the tooth fairy to come too. It was almost a year before the permanent tooth came in. I asked the dentist about it and she said it was fine, just that the tooth had been pulled before it was ready and that's why it took so long for the permanent tooth to come in.

My daughter has lost a few teeth (she's now 5), some due to the fact that she was born with a cleft lip/palate and required surgery to remove them... and the others naturally. She lost a tooth on the bottom a few months ago, and the tooth next to it was NOT loose. I believe that she played around with it and began wiggling it to make it loose, and lost that one as well.

My Mom confirmed that she was wiggling it quite a few times and she knew that it wasn't loose to begin with.

Call the dentist for some peace of mind, LOL... and try to find ways of stopping her from doing this again. My husband and I have told our daughter that, after baby teeth come out, there is only one set of teeth left, and if she loses them, she'll have nothing. I think the message set in.

Yes, you are right... it could be that she knows that the Tooth Fairy comes!
Good luck.

No way. Don't do it. I have a really loose tooth right now, (my second to last Caine, my other canine tooth is loose too, but not that much). My mom keeps trying to pull the loose one out, but I just want to wait

I find it hard to believe a child can pull out a tooth with out it being ready to come out. I think it would hurt to much for them to stand it. Who knows though..........call your dentist. He can do x-rays to find out if there is a tooth budding under the gum.

its not a good idea, because then theres a hole there but its not the end of the world. the tooth will take longer to grow it, its on its own course of when to push up and push that tooth out of the way, without the tooth in the way, it doesnt grow in any faster. but it will be fine.

dont worry. nothing will happen. most of the deciduous teeth, which falls have resorbed roots. when the permanent teeth erupts from the bone, the roots of deciduous teeth will get resorbed. the gum hanging there will get healed after sometime. may be sometimes a small fragment of root piece may be left behind. confirmation can be done by taking a x-ray if you suspect something left behind psoitive. if pain is not there no need to put on medications and no need to consult a dentist also. it will resolve byitself.

I don't think that is such a great idea.. You probably should try to get her to stop.. and talk to the dentist regardless of the answers you get here...
We don't know ****, unless one of us IS indeed a dentist or dental hygienist.
