If your period was Oct 18, and your apparent conception date was Nov 1st, it just likely means you got a positive result really early...the Oct 18th period would have likely been your last menstrual period.
Some women can test positive this early, but not all...apparently, you are one of them. If your cycle is the average 28 days, your period would have been due later this week anyway...congratulations!

Your last period was 10/18 and your conception date was 11/1? Did I get that right, it is now 11/12???
Yes it would be possible to get pregnant after your period and before your next period.

Yes, it is quite possible. Some woman have a period during their early months, some even have one the entire time. In most cases the body and hormone levels do "catch up" so to speak. The hormone levels rise a little slower in some people and the body doesn't know yet it is pregnant. If your are seriously concerned contact your doctor and ask for a check-up to be sure the pregnancy is viable and continuing normally.

Nope you can't have your period when you are pregnant.
a discharging of blood, secretions, and tissue debris from the uterus that recurs in NONPREGNANT breeding-age primate females at approximately monthly intervals and that is considered to represent a readjustment of the uterus to the NONPREGNANT state following proliferative changes accompanying the preceding ovulation; also : period
But you can bleed when you are pregnant but its not a period.

I had my first period and didn't know I was pregnant at all, just thought it was a really nasty flu. My second pregnancy, I didn't have any periods.
I do know someone who had her periods all the way through( they were irregular, but there) and she didn't even know she was pregnant. I have no clue how that one got by her,but it did. She ended up in the ER thinking her appendix was rupturing and she was actually in labor.
