first off they wouldnt be on your clit would they????? your tear from front to back and if you had an episiotomy then they cut you from your vagina to your anus. anyway it takes 2 weeks for stitches to completely dissolve

They should have dissolved within about 2 weeks. You may want to check with your Dr. Typically you should wait 4- 6 weeks. Give your body time to heal.

Why do you have stitches all the way up in your clitoris??? Yikes!!!! 2 weeks after I had the baby I was still feeling pain. I had to go to the doctor, in absolute fear that they were going to have to inflict more pain, and she told me I had a granulated tissue. A quick and painless thing was done, and the area was cleared up the next day. If you're having pain after 2 weeks, have it checked out.

some of mine never did dissolve some dropped out in the bath or on the toilet,other's the midwife pulled out after so long.

It could be up to three weeks. You don't want them to dissolve before the damage has been properly healed.

i think its aout 14 days i got lucky.with my first i only had 2 stitches and none with my second.

mine burst and i had a big hole. so i really wish i had to wait for them to dissolve. you cant tell now though
