It felt like something was stuck in my vagina (like a tampon) so I used a (clean) finger to reach inside a little bit, and felt my cervix. My finger was not even in as far as my second knuckle.
Does this mean anything?
I have been having mild cramping, but no contractions and this is my second pregnancy.

Just wanted to add, I don't normally do "self" exams, I just really felt like something was in there.

The baby is just dropping...making it's way into the birthing canal. If you are really concerned, call your doctor. Congrats and good luck!!

The cervix lowering and the mild cramps are to be expected. But please do NOT stick your finger there again; we don't want to risk scratching anything and causing infections now do we? It certainly is not a bad idea to ask your obgyn on your next visit too.

Best advice I can give: keep your fingers out of there. Let your OB check you. You can cause a whole bunch of problems if you continue to do "self" exams. Good luck and congrats.

Your baby may just be low.
Please do not do this again. Even if your finger is clean, you can still have something and infect your baby. This is dangerous. If you have any questions, you should discuss this with your doctor.

you should ask your doctor, even just to be on the safe side and be careful sticking your finger in, you may cause damage.

this means that your baby is very low. I wouldnt think that this would be a problem but I would let your doctor know about it.
