My 2 year has just been released after 4 days in hospital with pneumonia. We have to continue his course of antibiotics orally through a syringe and he freaks out each time. The medicine is yucky and gritty and each time we give him it he coughs so much he vomits it all up again. He is not eating well so I can't mix it in his food and the only thing he is feeding on is milk. Don't really want to mix it in that as it might put him off drinking the milk. The hospital don't seem to have any decent ideas for me so any ideas from the wise world of the YahooAnswers community would be greatly appreciated!

I am 9 weeks pregnant and my husband is not at all supportive of my pregnancy. We live in Japan away from the united states where I am from and I have no family friends out here. I am fatigued and nausea with heartburn and I cant do the things I used to. when I cook, lately I burn food and he gets mad and starts stomping around. Today I didnt cook and he got upset. He had to do the dishes because I didnt do them today for the first time in soooo long...My husband just started throwing stuff around the kitchen and mumbling under his breath about cleaning it because I left it untouched today. He is grouchy everyday and everytime I tell him about my symptoms he gets upset and argues with me. I almost want to have an abortion and not have the baby. we were laying in bed lastnight and i told him pregnancy feels like having 3 flus at one time..he started fake snoring! !have no support at all and I am extra sad that my husband is treating me so bad. I just wanna kill myself, help me u guys

In class, online and in books I've read about the dialation being signs of birth and knowing when you might be ready for the delivery. Just curious if it's only a centimeter in the beginning, would you really be able to tell that??

If we can't see our chachas how would we know were dialated?

Help! My husband really likes the name Mia, but I think I would like a more formal name to go with it. I don't like Maria or Amelia. I do like the name pronounced Ah-mah-LEE-ah but are not sure how to spell it (want it to make sense if the nickname is mia). How would spell it? Also, some people think that we should just use mia because of the possible confusion on pronounciation....what do you think? THANKS!

I gave birth almost 7weeks ago. I breastfeed exclusively, but I was told to take a break from it for 5 days and supplement with formula for another 5 days. But the last 4 weeks I was exclusively breastfeeding again. Today I noticed a twinge in my right lower abdomen. I am assuming it is my uterus because it increases a bit while nursing my baby. I am not in real pain (otherwise I would be at the doctor's) but would like to know if it is possible that my period is about to come. The lochia is as good as gone too (it isn't even enough anymore to stain a pantyliner) How is that first period after birth? Is it more painful, heavier or lighter? And can I use tampons again or should I wait a few periods before using them again? Will a period affect the quality of my breastmilk?

I know some women can lose plug and still go into labour a few weeks later, but I was just wondering, when you lose it, does this mean you have began dilating? I have lost lots of white stringy mucus for the past 2 weeks, and the last few days have had 3 HUGE blobs come out, also some light blood spotting...does this mean my cervix is slowly dilating? Thanks

I am nearly 39 weeks

No one smoke here and we haven't been around any smokers. I noticed it when I was putting his pyjamas on tonight. There are 3 about 2 inches apart. They are about 1 cm wide, with a scabby edge, but the centre isn't scabby.
He has only been around us this week and no-one else has any. My nieces did come over earlier in the week, but I never saw any on them.

Any ideas????

He is going to the doctor tomorrow, but I just wanted to know if anyone knows what they are

I'm turning 30 in 5 months, i havn't had a serious relationship for 2yrs! My teenage neice has moved in with me, and im wondering just how unethical it would be to get pregnant by someone i know, who is unaware of my intentions.. I don't want to always be the aunt who has no kids but is always available to babysit because she loves them!!!
I want a child of my own and in this day and age, do i really need to be in a commited relationship to have one? I have also had an offer from someone i know who will help me out as long as i don't declare him on the certificate..! What to do? I feel like time is running out for me.. I live in a small town, work part-time, and would like to have a natural child and then possibly foster parent. I was a fostered child and i would like to create a stable environment for other children who need it. I don't think i would fit the criteria though, what are your thoughts??

Would you have more empathy for a person who lost their mother, say in childbirth, and was then raised by different people than is generally shown to people who were adopted as children?

We had been trying for baby before my husband went off to fight the war in July. I am 27 and in good health and we have been trying for a baby for about 4 months, but without luck.
The last time we had sex was July the 15th, but had been sexually active every second day beforehand.
I was due for my period on the 29th of July. It didn’t come until the 16th of August. Then it was really heavy and I was really campy for 7 days. Not sure what went on there. Then I never had a period September or October. I thought I was pregnant, and took about 20 tests and all were negative.
Do you think it would be possible to be pregnant even if I had a period? Or am I just screwed up???

I am not stressed so that isn’t really a factor.

Our 1 year old son is clearly approaching 'toddlerhood' he has gone from being a smiley little baby to a very determined and sometimes quite cross little boy! He has started to scream and throw himself onto the floor each time we tell him not to do something or take him away from something he wants to do (climbing the stairs, going in the cupboards etc!) He will throw his head back onto the floor, which is so dangerous and we have to catch him so he doesnt hurt himself. and he will scream and cry until he has completely worked himself (and us) up.... i hate to see him crying like this, but i have been told to ignore it completely, even if i take him in my arms, he still screams... he also makes a very high pitched screaming noise if he gets stuck with his trolley walker, or if he can't get into something he wants to... it is driving us a bit mad! I have childproofed the house as much as possible to avoid these confrontations, but would really appreciate advice on how to deal with this!

i have a boy who is two and until 3 days ago he used to love being cuddled and I give him warm bottle of milk once he wakes up and before he sleeps. It was a nice time for both of us but I thought it is time to drink alone from a cup like he does with all fluids. This is day 3 and until now he refuses to even try it out not a single sip of milk. I tried in dfrnt cups but no hope. Is there really harm from keeping him on bottle for longer or he is to old and it can develop into bad habit. Need advice.

She's this kind of person: Adorable, childlike, make you wanna hug her, her simply existance makes you happy.

She wants a "different" name, not those common ones. Any name that suits this little girl(she's in college but still looks little lol)?
