when does the first trimester in pregnancy finish?

My husband and I have a two year old daughter that was a preemie. I had every complication that you can think of during my pregnancy and can't even fathom having another NICU baby (plus the cost has put us in a real financial strain) and due to my age (I'm 32) and my blood pressure, I'm at high risk for a heart attack or stroke while on the pill, so my husband has been scheduled for a vasectomy, which he's fully willing to do, on Nov. 16th. Now I'm having second thoughts. I've been thinking about what if something happens, God forbid, that our daughter would die and then we can't have more children. I'd rather take the chance of accidentally getting pregnant again than not being able to conceive at all. What are my best options? I can't use condoms due to laytex allergy and I don't beleive in the IUD. Any serious input would be appreciated. Thanks!

My husband seems to think that two middle names sound dumb. I want my last name as a second middle name and since he is against hypenating my last name and his last name together, I thought I would use my last name as a second middle name to compromise. I think that fair. What do you think. I kept my last name and am not using his. The name would be Ava Christian Besse Baker. I think it sounds good.

Im a small person, 5'2 and 43kg. But thats not a problem. Its just my fiance is saying im starting to get bigger (only after my remark of im looking fat at the moment) too early and I should stop eating junk food. I have healthy breakfast, lunch, dinner usually but its just I have chips and things for snacks.

I know 11 weeks isnt that much but is it natural to get bigger around the stomach now? Usually its bigger at the end of the day than when I just wake up.

I was pregnant once before i took a pregnancy test a couple of days after i was suppost to get my period and it came out negitive so i took one 2 weeks later and it was possitive... I'm 28 wks and my baby boy has become so active in the last 2 from hard knots to me actually seeing 3 or 4 ripples pass over one another at a time.. Its an almost 24 hr playground in there especially after 9 pm... Is this normal or is their any way to calm him down or is it he's getting too big for mommy's space????? And light is the key to his activities especially since its 3 am and I have a laptop in his face!!!

I LOVE the name Cruz ( pronounced like cruise) but I don't think Cruz is a first name, my other son's name is Kaden Blake, but we call him Blake. My brother's name is Aaron Matthew and we've always called him Matt and he hates it, he says there is no reason to name your child something that you're not going to call him either way my baby is going to have a first and middle name and something that sounds really good together and I am in desperate need of suggestions. And our last name is Hager so if you have any suggestions I'd LOVE to hear them... thanks!

It seems like we have a lot of moms who feel the need to defend their choice to either work or to stay at home. Many of us do this for different reasons.

Why can't we accept that neither situation is 100% the right thing in all circumstances instead of criticizing those who either are stay at home moms or work outside the home moms.

Can't there be a way to support and encourage each other instead of having to criticize or get defensive over our choices?

Hi all, I am just TTC (1st month) and have a couple of questions. I know that the first week of pregnancy is considered the 1st day of your cycle, which means by the time you really know you're pregnant you're usually three/four weeks pregnant? Is that correct?

Now I had no idea of this (just found it out on Yahoo answers!Thanks guys!!) and was drinking loads of coffee and had a couple of glasses of wine during my period. I don't know why but I just assumed I would stop drinking around ovulation. Is this a huge no-no? Can you do damage this way?

Is it easier to adopt a child from a foreign country? Why not adopt from right here? Is this a growing trend? Everytime you hear of a celeb. adopting the child is from somewhere else. Why? Don't get me wrong I think it takes a wonderful human being to love and care for these children, but I really want to know the facts so that I may better educate myself.
