Do you suppose it will be the "Christmas to end all Christmasses" as far as sales for toy companies? [or insert other gifting holiday/birthday] You know, safe new toys to replace all the ones that were dangerous and had to be taken away?

Or is it more likely that this holiday season/next birthday will have folks stay away from toy-toys and do stuff like homemade toys, clothing, books, or other "toy" alternatives?

Just wondering what the rest of the country thinks the gift-trading will be like for the younger ones.

So i'm babysitting tonight with my friends, and we are babysitting a year old baby. I think its a year old? The baby was asleep but then woke up, and now it won't go back to sleep. We gave her some finger foods, and she won't drink her milk, and she keeps crying. We changed her diaper and everything. So we then put her upstairs in her crib, and screamed and cried and kicked etc. And if she cries too much, her brother will wake up and tell his mom.

When a woman missed a period and wasn’t sure, how could they test to determine if it was due to pregnancy or stress?

What kind of detectable chemical changes take place?

What materials would be used to detect the changes…?

I’m guessing some kind of plant or other natural (relatively unprocessed) material.

What plant or animal would it come from?

What substitutes might be used if the most commonly used variety was not available?

me and my girlfriend had sex about 2-3 weeks ago and since yesterday, she said she has a bad stomache ache had a temperature, nausia, cant eat, and feels like she has been gaining a mass amount of weight. we used a condom but we think it might of busted. we both checked it and there was no holes or anything. how can we be sure if its a flu or shes pregnant?

I have a 15 year old brother who is so rude. He's in to body boarding and today he went out when there was no patrol which is against my Mum's rules and then he lied about it.

My Mum isn't even punishing him, she 'spoke to him' and told him that she was only doing it for his safety and he told her to shut up. I then told him to grow up and show some respect and be grateful. He replied 'shut the f*uck up you stupid b*itch'. My Mum didn't even tell him off. He has rules, but if he breaks them then there is no punishment and I get told off for his trouble making.

If I spoke to anyone I would have my laptop/cellphone/ipod confiscated . My brother always pushes the boundaries and gets away with it. My Mum buys him everything he wants and more.

I always get spoken to like I'm not important and that my opinions don't matter. I live in this house too. I'm 17 so I can't move out yet.

I can't live here anymore, what do I do? Please.

My daughter has a ton of stuff (three sets of Grandparents that spoil her rotten, three aunts, one uncle, neices, and nephews) and I'm at a loss on what to get as far as little stuff to put into her stocking as I'm boycotting MOST toys this year. If it's made in China, I'm not buying it! As far as other gifts, we're getting her snacks, juice boxes, and mainly clothes. I'm still seeking GOOD education toys not made in China.

My daughter has more crayons, coloring books, books, stickers, jewelry, hair things, children's videos, toddler music CD's, than I know what to do with. She also has a small flashlight, and nightlight. So far I was thinking maybe some fun socks (hard to find for a two year old), Band-Aids with her favorite characters on them, training paste, and a new toothbrush. Any other thoughts would be appreciated.

What would you all think of an optional state level governing factor for Parent Licencing. Basically the system would work like so. Couples who would like to have children would file paperwork with a new division of DSHS. They would under go psychological examination, this to reduce the number of abused and neglected children. If sucessfully passing they would recieve a cash bonus of 15k from the state for undergoing the classes and recieve better home loan options to meet financial and living situation goals. This all would be a persons option, not a requirement. These are some simple explinations of the program. I have more detailed plans but not enough time. Also, since it is an option it would not be a violation of civil liberties. And at that, the program design is to reduce the number of unwanted births, abuse and neglect cases, and some mothers and fathers using the system as a way to make money. Give me some imput. I t sounds crazy but I think it may work.

I know this might sound like a weird question buI just got done watching the movie "Knocked up" and theres a scene where the doc. is giving her an exam and out of nowhere the Doc say "oh way..thats your @**hole...wrong hole" how can that be possible...does she not know the difference or is it just fake hollywood movie stuff...????

My son is 2 yrs old....and usually falls asleep with me and my husband....and then we put him into his crib for the night, what i'm wondering is do you think we should try and transition him to his "big boy bed?" also he stays 3 over nights at his dads every week too. and we're planning on tryin to transition him to his new beds at both places at the same time??? is that a good idea?? hes my first born and im a lil confused....i don't want to overwhelm him either.!?!? some one give me some advice please!!!!

My 5 year old is sick all the time since starting school. I'm not just talking 1 cold that overstayed it's visit. She gets sick for 10 days (fever, cough, stuffy nose), better for a week and a half, sick again 10 days, better for a week now sick again. I'm stressed out. House is clean, she eats super healthy and washes hands. Doctors diagnose typical colds- but this many? In a row? Constantly? Are other kids sick this much? She is going to the bathroom Okay, btw.

Hi everyone!! I had a LEEP done Dec 2006, and my boyfirned and I are TTC. Is it true that the LEEP makes easier for me to become pregnant since they burned some off, and therefor thinner? Anyway.. please share all info you have on your experience or info. good & bad re: LEEPS & TTC.

My understanding is that hcg doesn't start being produced until implantation. So if you are already positive on a pregnancy test, should you have implantation bleeding a few days later?
