My son is 7 and last year, we had to take him to a specialist for some kidney problems that he was having. While there, I asked the doctor about my son's bed wetting. He said that usually, if the mother or father wet the bed when they were a child, then the child will also..and they will also stop around the same age that the parent did. He told us that if we were really concerned about it, he could put him on some medicine for it, that was usually really effective in putting a stop to it. We chose not to put him on the medicine yet, and just have him wear the "Good nights" every night when he goes to bed. But, when we take him back next month we are going to see about the medicine because he has started soaking through these every night. I think the best thing would be for you to consult your son's doctor about it and see what they suggest. Good luck.

Yes, bedwetting is very common. I have three boys - a 10 year old and 6 year old twins. All three wet the bed and wear Goodnites. I would check with a doctor just to rule out the unlikely possibilty that it is a kidney infection or something else. But most likely, his bladder just hasn't grown with his body yet.

Yes, my ex-husband was 28 and still had accidents. My oldest was 8 or 9 and had an accident. Get some Good Nights. It may just be a small bladder. Just make sure to not drink anything a couple hours before bed, and also a good routine, like bedtime is same every night, and go a short time before bed and then right before crawling into bed.

It is common for any child to wet the bed who has a weak bladder or bladder control issues.
You may want to go to a doctor and ask about it.
It may be the case that he is having some emotional distress in his life and something causes him to wet the bed.

It happens and I hope you don't blame your son. It can be quite normal and they make little diapers shaped like underwear so that no one needs know. My son did until he was 12.
You may want to have him checked by a Dr to make sure there is nothing physically wrong as that too could be a reason.
Make sure you get him checked out by a Dr but don't torture or tease him, it may only make it worse. Most kids don't even know when they wet the bed.
All kids develop at different rates and that is what makes them individuals.
Good Luck!!

I knew a boy that didnt stop until 16. You shouldn't worry about it quite yet, he is only 11 and probably will grow out of it but if he doesnt by 14 I would take him to a doctor and see if it is something else. Don't let him drink things after 7 at night either, that is just making it happen for sure.
