My daughter has a ton of stuff (three sets of Grandparents that spoil her rotten, three aunts, one uncle, neices, and nephews) and I'm at a loss on what to get as far as little stuff to put into her stocking as I'm boycotting MOST toys this year. If it's made in China, I'm not buying it! As far as other gifts, we're getting her snacks, juice boxes, and mainly clothes. I'm still seeking GOOD education toys not made in China.

My daughter has more crayons, coloring books, books, stickers, jewelry, hair things, children's videos, toddler music CD's, than I know what to do with. She also has a small flashlight, and nightlight. So far I was thinking maybe some fun socks (hard to find for a two year old), Band-Aids with her favorite characters on them, training paste, and a new toothbrush. Any other thoughts would be appreciated.

These are great ideas! Also maybe you could get her some colored rocks...I know it sounds stupid, but my daughter absolutely loves rocks, and collects them when we go for walks, and for her birthday I bought her a set of colored rocks from a hobby store and she carries them in her little gem bag everywhere. She counts them, plays with them...you would think she'd lose them or put them in her mouth, but she doesn't. Kudos by the way for boycotting foreign products for Christmas!

First of all, we are doing the same thing as far as toys. If you go to my profile I have ask a question about finding U.S. Canada, and Europe made toys.

What about panties for her stocking. Are you in a potty training phase at all? A pack of panties with a fun character on it could be fun.

A really cool sippy cup if she does not have a ton of them.

Oh and for the socks, look in the section of kids clothes that are for size 4-6 and up. I found really cute socks for my girl and they fit her little feet just fine. Plus they will fit longer than the ones in infant section.

You could also make her a little x-mas card with only pictures. My daughter likes that. Use you computer or just sneak her crayons after she goes to bed.

Also if you want me to send you any links I have found for non-china made toys, let me know.
Hope I helped.

Check out craft fairs in your area. A lot of people make homemade crafts and sell them. I have a wooden train set that a friend of my In-Law's made for my son. I make wall-hung children's coat racks with their names on them. I paint them and put decals of their favorite cartoon characters on them.

I think what you've got in mind sounds excellent... but I feel sorry for you when the next baby comes along!!! Talk about jealousy!
