am i to old to be spanked.?

i think that i am but my mom still spanks me i think that i am to old to even be punished! sometimes if we are in the store and i wonder away or knock things over or run around my mom will spank me or if i dont listen or throw things at her or say bad words to her she spanks me my sister who is 14 sometimes gets spanked to but i am 9 dont you think that is to old?

Children of any age should not be spanked. Spanking is evil, barbaric, primitive, out-dated, and inhmane. Spanking is a brutal form of violence and it is a form of sexual assault. And yes, you are WAY too old to be punished. I am so sick of all those parents who think children are an underclass of subhuman slaves that they can beat any time they're frustrated with something. You parents have no right to tell you what to do. Just becuase you're 9 does not make you any less of a person than they are. Your parents should treat you with respect instead of beating you into submission like you're a subhuman slave. Next time you get spanked you should call the police and report your abusive parents. You will probably get put in foster care but you'll be better off there than with parents who beat you into submission like that. Unnfortunately, the police probably won't do anything to help you, though. Sad to say, we live in a very anti-child society and the police are unlikely to help abused children like you. They seem to think that parents should have the right to beat their children into submission and sexually assault them, and to not allow them to do so would somehow infring on their freedom. So calling the police may not be the best idea- you could even get in trouble for wastign their time if you do call them. So i recommend that you refuse to be spanked. You need to resist your parents and demand that they give you the respect that you deserve. Let them know that they can't order you around and beat you whenever you disobey like you're some sort of slave.

Do I believe a 9 year old or even a 14 year old is too old to be spanked? NOPE!! will i ever say that...NO way, do I think its the most effective way to discipline for the things that you have described...not necessarily, since you are the age that you are. You are too old to be acting the way you are. You should know better then to wonder away from your parents, or to knock things down or run around a store. Also, whats with the temper tantrums? Aren't you a tad old for that too? I'm starting to think that that when you're parents spank its without instruction, and has been all your lives, which is no good at all. You need to have a consequence to for your actions yes, but if your still acting this way at this age I would be interested in knowing if your parents have given you any other options of ways of to get frustrations out, or how to perhaps avoid conflict with them. If you have received this kind of instruction with your spankings and not just a "you don't ever ....." then spanking probably isn't the most effective tool for you. But once again your not too old. This is where it depends on the child and circumstances.

No way. You are not too old to be spanked, and you won't be until you are 18 and are legally an adult. And no, you are not too old to be punished. You sound like a brat who thinks they can do whatever the want. You may not be too old to be spanked but you are WAY to old to be knocking things over at the store like that! I would be embarrassed too if my mom spanked me in public. Answer this question. Are you too old to be acting the way you do sometimes? Throwing stuff and cussing at your mom? Maybe if you act more grown up, your mom won't have to punish you. If you want to be treated like a man you have to act like one.

In the case of Little MISS Sydney who asked, I think one of hte problems in society is too many women trying to act like MEN!!!

She thinks at 9 she is too old to be spanked or even to be punished. What about adults who get punished if they break laws ... parking laws, speeding laws, etc. Don't they get punished? Or maybe "little miss" thinks they should not be punished either? What about people that steal? Shouldn't they get punished?

At 9, you should not WANDER away from your parents, especially if you might knock things over or run around or shoplift. If you throw things at her or say bad words to your mom or dad ... why shouldn't she or he punish you?

the final time I have been given spanked i became 13.. and my mothers and fathers purely had to do it as quickly as at that age in the past i ended doing stupid sh1t that have been given me spanked... yet in my opinion i think of as long as they want an a$$whooping they are in a position to get it! i could beat the crap outta my sons in the event that they are in a position to't get it mutually till they pass out my residing house!! and that i guess after your dad humilated you like that at age 12 you stopped doing specific issues which you knew could get you butt smacked appropriate??!! lol Spanking on no account ruined my relationship with my mothers and fathers. Judging from your writing, I think you are older than nine and trying to pretend to be nine. To answer your question, I don't think you are to old to be spanked, but I think it depends on the situation. Not every situation calls for spanking.
