I started my period on Oct. 20....and Nov. 5 would be the 16th day. Would I still be fertile? I usually have a 28 cycle but now it's always a week late. Any who, what are my possibilities? I'm TTC.

Totally possible. Especially since your cycle is a bit longer now. The easiest way to know if you are fertile is if you notice "cervical fluid" the slimy stuff the thicker it is (like egg white) the more fertile you are. Sounds gross I know, but it's true. If you only have a little cervical fluid it can give the sperm swimming medium and keep it alive for up to 5-7 days.

Dont use the calendar method if your period gets irregular. So if you have a 28 day cycle, you should have your period on nov 17, and nov 3 is your most fertile day "peak" so it is usually not safe like 5 days before and after your most fertile day...But since your always a week late. Your safest bet woul be before and after your period. Or try the "mucus" method..get a specimen of the "slimy stuff" put it in your thum and pointing finger together..stretch it. more than 1 cm is unsafe. Also try the Temperature..but be sure that you get it early in the morning. If it is above your normal Temp then that means your fertile.

usually its 10-14 days after period but 16 days is still entirely possible if your cycle is slightly longer now. Give it a try who knows hey!!

Try using an ovulation predictor test (avail at supermarkets) for better idea on ovulation.

Best of luck and baby dust 4 you!!!!

Try this website for checking fertile days. You have to join but its free.
