I had a letter before the scan reminding me of my appointment and it said the same thing. Basically, they don't want to get sued if they miss anything so as long as it all looks fine, I wouldn't stress too much. Sure there's still a (very very small) chance that something is "not right" but chances are if you spend the rest of your pregnancy worrying about it you will have been worrying for no reason and will not have enjoyed your pregnancy.
My scan pictures varied between being really clear and pretty blurry, it depends on how much they have zoomed in and whether the baby was moving when they froze the pic.
Just relax (easier said than done I know), I'm sure all will be fine

I had my 22 week scan yesterday, it took ages to get all the measurements & my pictures are all blurred &B to be honest even i can't tell what is what, she said she could only get a photo of the face as the body doesn't fit in the picture !!!! I found that quite bizzare !!!
The comment about normal scan/normal baby was a mean thing to say, i felt baby kicking all the time now but was still really nervous about the scan.
Don't listen to her, these scans are so detailed these days i'm sure anything dodgy would be detected, after all they checked the heart, lungs, kidneys, spine, skull, brain, limbs, facial detail and count fingers & toes !!!!
Just be glad the scan went well & when you show the picture to family just pretend you know what all the bits & pieces are !!!! If you struggle to tell like me then i can garantee they woun't be able to tell either !!!!!!!
Congrats !!!!

they have to say those sort of things just like they can't say 100% on the sex of the baby either to protect themselves from law suits and the like.

If the radiographer said all seemed okay then it would be. If there was a problem then they would have notified your doctor and he would have contacted you immediately to discuss any problems.

Also lots of scans seem blurry and out of focus to us because we have no idea what we are looking at. I could never tell an arm from a leg if you paid me! If you really want a good scan try asking for a referral for a 3D/4D scan as they really are clear.

best of luck and relax! I'm sure all is well with your little baby.

It's just a disclaimer. Actually, scans pick up most problems, so the chances are that your baby is 100% healthy.
All scan pictures are blurry. I hoped that by the time I had a baby they would be really clear as whenever anyone showed me theirs they just looked like a blob, but they are still rubbish!

Don't worry. They have to say that because of the "suing" culture than we now unfortunatley live in.

God forbid it won't, but if your baby was born with any problems, you could sue them.

As everyone has said, they are just covering their backs. If there was any concerns they WOULD tell you.

Your baby could have been really active and that is why the pics are blurred.

You've got that little one to worry about now & stress is not a good thing.

Just relax and enjoy your pregnancy. (You could always ask for another scan if you are really worried though), but i don't think it is necessary.

:)

yes its all 100% normal............i was told the same thing but dont forget if there was a big problem the doctors would have picked up on it..........also the scan pics always come out blurred because this scan takes a much closer look at the baby

Oh honey, they are only covering their backs - sadly enough people are rude enough to sue if they are told everything 'looks normal' if there's a slight problem with the baby. I'm sure your baby is fine - but you could always go and have a 3d or 4d scan to make sure. Good Luck :)

I agree, they always say these things just to cover their backsides, your pictures were blurrey maybe because there was a bit of movement in there and the radiographer couldnt get a still enough picture.
