I need some real cheap meal ideals to feed myself and three kids ages 10, 9 and 3 off of less than one hundred dollars over the next 7 days for breakfast and dinner (plus buy gas). A company made a mistake and took too much money from my checking account which overdrew my account. However, they still have not given the money back and w/ all the fees I incurred I will proably never see my grocery money again! My kids have beenn complaing already of being hungry b/c I have to limit food to make sure it can streach. I had to cut out sending school lunches this week, send them to school for breakfast. I am suppose to get food stamps and I got approved but the case worker said she will get around to it when she feels like it. Got super cheap meal ideals?

He is 18 almost 19, i am 17 and will be 18 by christmas. Our baby is due in 5 weeks, right before christmas. our baby was definately unplanned. i was on birth control, but i had some anitbiotics for my wisdom teeth surgery and now we're pregnant. he was very understanding and supportive. my family adores him. his family likes me. everyone is excited about the baby. especially my boyfriend. im a little scared still. anyways i plan on getting him another engagement ring. his fingers have gotten bigger since he has been working and he cant even put it on anymore. mine still fit perfectly even at 35 weeks preg. anyways i want to get him something special for christmas. something for him from me. not something to do with our daughter. i want him to know i didnt forget him in all the comotion, our babys birth, my birthday, xmas.

what would you find special? i want it to say thanks for loving me and taking care of me and i love you and look forward to our future together.

I mean, I don't, I think they are decent, but HE wants something like Emily or Crystal... and for a boy, CAIGE or Jason.. eeeh... My names are..

Sophia
Gabriella
Cassidy
Elizabeth
Emma
Emery
Taegan
I mean, some are classic, but not plain like Emily, and a couple others are different.. but he says no to ALL of them.

He doesn't really dislike very many of my boy names..

My EX and I had a daughter. She wasn't planned at all, but for the last four years (and yes she is 4) she has been the joy of our lives. I know eventually she is going to ask all the normal questions about babies, where they come from, why her mother and I are no longer together, etc... Her mother and I have decided if and when she asks about it to tell her that even though she was unplanned, she has never been unwanted.

Just curious what you think about what or how to tell her.

And it is only something we will do if she asks about it.

I am 24 years old, and I work doing therapy with adolescents. Because of my background, I decided to check out what kind of advice these teens were getting. I can't believe some of the things these people are saying to them! I am outraged. If you have nothing productive to say to these teens who feel like they are going through terrible difficulties, then just don't post. No one deserves these snide put downs, especially those struggling through such a difficult time in their lives. And for those of you who have productive things to say, I'm saying thank you, on behalf of those you've assisted.

Also: is it the parent that notices that something is wrong or perhaps the teacher? Does the parent need to get a referral if they want to make an appointment with a medical professional to test their child for ADHD?

Why does it seem like these days parents either can't raise their kids or don't want to raise their kids?

For instance, a kid gets angry easily so the parents take him to a therapist. Or a child wakes up in the middle of the night and won't go back to sleep so the parents take her to a sleep clinic.

Is it that todays parents aren't smart enough to deal with their kids? Or is it that they are too lazy?

My point is, a couple decades ago if a kid had problems the parents dealt with it WITHOUT the help of special doctors or therapists and the kids turned out fine. Why is it that these days parents are not able to deal with things themselves?

My husband and I have been trying to conceive for over two years. A long time ago, before I got married, my (supposedly) best friend told me that I was "not allowed" to have kids before she did, since I was getting married before her. I just brushed it off and ignored the remark at the time. However, she has since gotten married and is now pregnant. She knows that we have been trying for a long time without success, and now that she is pregnant she is constantly calling me to give me updates on her pregnancy, her symptoms, etc. She also is making constant remarks about how my life must really suck because I'm not pregnant and how things are going so well for her because she is pregnant. I can't believe that she is doing this on purpose to hurt me, but it certainly seems that way! How can I deal with this?

I want to get my daughter something similar to this:

http://www.hearthsong.com/hearthsong/product.do?section_id=0&bc=1005&pgc=335&cmvalue=HS|0|Normal%20Search%20Result|P1

The problem is that I want it to be more animal themed than sea/fairy/princess. I have been searching the internet like crazy to no avail. Does anyone know a good online store that might have something similar?

I have a soon to be 4 year old and he saw a toy gun at the toy store. He liked it and asked me to buy it for him. At first I was skeptical about the whole gun issue but then I realized as long as he knows the difference between real and make believe, why not? I got it for him and it shoots darts so he and my younger brother pretend and play w/ it. I was surprise one time when we went to a friends house whose husband is a cop. The officer had laid out his belt in the kitchen table and my son saw the gun. He said we can't play w/ that one mami that one is real. To me he undestands the difference. What's your take on this?

I've never felt this way.. I'm 15. He doesn't know I like him.. My other best friend says he looks like he likes me. I dont know. I just dont know if I should risk it and tell him... Or just forget about it. I like him a lot.

I'm currently testing for my ovulation day and have been for a few days now. When I first started testing there was 1 dark line and the other line was a faint. Today I tested and there was only one dark line. I know that if one line is dark and one is faint that I need to wait until both lines are dark for a good surge. I have a 29 to 30 day cycle but I ovulate "sometimes" very early and I'm thinking just maybe I already ovulated because now there's only one dark line. Today is day 11 of my cycle. Do the opk's sometime do that?

First time mom here..never been pregnant so this whole experience is like walking around in the dark...I am 17w2d pregnant and my pregnancy has been "normal" (not that there is a such thing)...I haven't had any bleeding at all, no painful cramping, nothing...all our visits have been great and the baby's heartbeat at the last visit was strong (About 155) and our next appt is 11/14 (we'll hopefully find out if it is a boy or girl)...the closer it gets to next wednesday the more worried I get...How can I calm down? Any suggestions?

My husband and I are ttc(trying to conceive), so I have been monitoring my cm(cerival mucus). I noticed yesterday that I had the eggwhite, stretchy cm so we did the baby dance(intercourse) lastnight. This morning I noticed that I had a lot of cm when I went to the bathroom. It was VERY stretchy. It was actually dangling from my va-jay jay all the way to the water in the toilet. Does this mean that today is the day that I am ovulating???
I know this stuff is very graphic, but I really need serious answers. And in order for me to get serious answers, I have to be VERY graphic in my details of this questions.
Thankyou in advance for all the answers I get and good luck and lots of baby dust to those who are ttc and Congrats to those who are already preggers!!!
