I would love to do something that I could deal with the computer. Space is an issue for child care... we live in a really small apartment.

May I suggest a home based business, such as partylite, pampered chef or home interior... this way you are making extra money, you make your own schedule, and you get a couple nights a month out and about... I think these jobs are perfect for stay at home moms

Try monster for legit catalog companies like Lands End, JCrew, Swiss Colony, etc for call center jobs. Often calls can be routed right to your home - wherever you live. However, often phone calls and babies dont mix, with both the ring and the timing. WHile some of these might be overseas jobs, some are not. Also a lot of sites now have chat windows for product info with staff, this will be HUGE during the holidays.

Oh yeah - and look into doing overnight child care if you have the space for it. Often occupations like nursing have a hard time finding it, when they have great jobs, but terrible hours.

One last idea, I am thinking to scan all my parents old photos, and put the digitized ones in a digital frame (plus their new grandkids) as an xmas gift. Although this is time consuming to keep hitting scan, I would love to pay someone for it. A few companies like Kinkos have started this, but Id be just as happy to pay someone doing it from their home. Same thing with music on my CDs to put on my MP3.

The Mc Donald's I work at on graveyard shift is open 24 hours. I know we are always looking for people. My son was a preemie and I refuse to put him in day care. I also have a nanny job so I can take my son with me. I usually end up bringing the other kids to my house or the parents drop them off.

You could always do Childcare. That's what I did to stay home with my little ones. If you don't want to go through the whole licensing process- you are allowed to take in one family's child/children. Honestly it is cheaper for me to stay home with my kids & only have 1 daycare child, than it is for me to put my 2 kids in daycare & make $13/hr at some other job.

for evening/overnight... try the mall!! especially for the holidays, after hours stocking, inventory, & paperwork is a big deal and many stores are looking for some help just for a few months.
