We've been to the doctor and he is being tested for Sprue through a blood test. He had a rectal exam and a full physical today. He is 8 years old and in good health. He has a stomach ache after he eats (sometimes). This morning, with no food, his stomach was hurting really bad. He's been hospitalized 2 times over the past couple of years with "possible appendicitis".

The doctor told me a little about it and told me to google it and I have, but I was just wandering if anyone has experience with this condition.
Thanks!

Everyone knows my story... been TTC our first child for over 2 years. I finally decided to see the fertility specialist. I called to request an appointment and they sent me a packet of paperwork to fill out and send back. I got the paperwork last night.

When I was filling it out, I was asking my husband the questions that I didn't know the answer to. He wasn't cooperating very well. I asked him, "Do you think wanting to see a doctor for this is stupid?" He said, "Not stupid. Foolish, but not stupid." I asked him what he meant and he said, "Oh yea of little faith, Don't you know the Lord will bless us with a child in his time?"

Now, we are a Christian couple and I fully believe this, but I got really depressed. I threw away the papers. I don't think I can handle this anymore.

How do I break this depression?

There is 5 oz of water in my baby's bottle, but by the time I add formula, it is 6 oz. So how much is he really drinking, 5 or 6 oz? Its really important that I keep track of how much he eats, because he's a preemie, and doesn't much care for eating. Thanks.

Hello, I have been seeing a girl casually for around 5 months. 6 weeks after we met she told me she was pregnant. She told me that she wanted to keep it. I said OK as I felt I couldn't tell her otherwise. I now know I don't want to be with her - it would never work + have told her this. I have assured her that I will be there for the baby as much as possible and pay any maintenance etc. She is very upset and now 18 weeks pregnant. There is no-one else involved. I was in a 10 year marriage that split 2 years ago and have 2 other children I adore also. She has daughter from a previous relationship I want to know your opinions on whether I've done the right thing as I feel terrible that she is so hurt.

My favorite for girls are Etta,as a short form (maybe annette) or full name, Paulina, and Bobbie-Jo. What do you think of these names. Otherwise, do you prefer these? Pearl, Kameron, Della, Shannen?

I was just doing some reading on the net, and it says that only 36% of mothers breastfeed for up to 6 months, and only 17% for up to a year. Although at the hospital, more than half of mothers start out wanting to breastfeed. I wonder why it drops so much. I also wonder what we could do to help, so mothers can continue to nurse their little ones longer.

Thanks in advance for sharing.

I am due in 5 weeks. I just had some questions. Just random things that popped into my head.

1. After breast feeding, did or does everyones breasts get smaller than they were before pregnancy? Do they always sag afterwards? and how many people got stretch marks on their breasts?

2. After the baby is born, I know you cut the umbilical cord and it dies and falls off the baby in time, but what happens to the part attached to mom? does it come out with the placenta? or do you wait for it to die and fall off as well?

3. When the baby is born, and you breastfeed them your pre milk or colostrum, how are you sure they even got any of it? I read that it is only like a tablespoon at a time, will i know or did you know when the baby recieved it?

4. I have read that you burn more calories when you breastfeed, did it help you loose your baby weight fast? I have also read about a lot of weight coming off in the first two weeks after birth, was this true for you?

My husband and I have been trying to get pregnant for 5 years now. After 2 miscarriages and month after month of disappointment, I am seriously considering adoption. I have done some research and am actually quite excited at the prospect of adopting. The problem is, my husband is not at all interested. Everytime I bring it up he just says, "I don't think I could adopt". He doesn't want to talk about it and keeps saying he wants us to keep trying to conceive for another year. I am 37. I don't want to give up on TTC but I would like to start the process of adoption knowing it could take up to 2 years.

Any advice on how I could get my husband to be more open to this? I have given him info on common myths about adoption, but that didn't seem to help. I think he is just really set on having OUR baby, which would be great, but I can't imagine life without having a child at all and I feel if we don't start looking into adoption, that could be the case.

If you are using Vitex and trying to conceive, what cycle days are you supposed to use it? Every day? Or, do you stop after ovulation? I have read conflicting directions on different sites.

Hello Mommies and Mommies to be. Before I call my dr and sound like a paranoid freak, I was wondering if any of you could tell me a reason why at 26 weeks I would be spotting and cramping. It started Saturday, the spotting is not heavy at all it doesn't even get on my pantyliner just on the tissue when I wipe. I was fine all day Sunday but then it happed again Monday night before I went to bed. That time I got a little cramping. Well yesterday afternoon I got a little pinkish on the tissue again but now the cramping went on into the evening and last night. Between 1 and 3 am the cramping was a little harder. Can this just be the baby growing and my cervix changing? Suggestions/Ideas? Personal experiences? I had a miscarriage 2 yrs ago and I guess I'm still a little scared.

- I know spotting can come after intercourse and that's not it. Unfortunetly :o\
-And I have not lifted or done anything heavy. But I do sit most of the day at work.
Thank you.

... to go with the middle and last name: Michael Roussell?

First names under consideration:

Colin, Darren, Victor, Dean, Cole, Rory, Calvin

Feel free to suggest another middle name... we want it (the middle name) to be something "Christian" or God-honoring.

Thanks in advance for your input!

i'm 16 and babysit about 4 times a week for 2-3 different families. and i have a lot of experience with kids and handling many at one time. i want kids of my own one day when i'm married with a job and a house, but as I'm rocking the baby to sleep, or wrestling with the older boys on the floor, or helping them make their own peanut butter and jelly sandwhichs, or dancing to Jump 5 or the Wiggles right before bed time to wear them out, I can't help but think, I go home at the end of the day. Parents don't. They have to deal with everything. their job is 25/8/366. but what's it actually like to look at the baby your holding and know it's yours, you created it. i can't imagine that feeling. i want a family of my own one day, and i hope my future husband wants 5 kids as I do, but i still can't grasp the feeling of having your own kids. the love that parents and child have for each other, is it really as weird, and wonderful, and complicated as i'm making it out to be?

I am 35 weeks pregnant today. I woke up this morning with period like cramps. It is a constant pain. Every now and then I get a really painful throbbing pain in my pelvic bone. I called my doctors office and of course this is new patient day and they can't see me. They said to call back if I have 5 or more contractions in a hour. Is this a sign of labor? If so how long could it be?

My sister is pregnant before me. I found out if she has a daughter she wants to name her after my Grandmother. I wanted to use my Grandmother's name as a middle name IF I have a daughter. Should I still use it as a middle name? I don't think my sister is entitled to use it because I was 100% closer to my grandmother than she was...I know there is not much I can do but help pls?
