My favorite for girls are Etta,as a short form (maybe annette) or full name, Paulina, and Bobbie-Jo. What do you think of these names. Otherwise, do you prefer these? Pearl, Kameron, Della, Shannen?

Hey luv my 2 girls. Your answer was very helpful. I like bobbie-jo because she was a very popular girl in school. NOONE teased her. I think that a name itself is not enough reason for a kid to tease. I think if you are considered "cool", then so is your name, whatever it is, not the other way around. But I do see your point that it is country.

You names are all very good for different reasons...I like that most are unique names..names you don't hear everyday.
Annette is cute, but I would not call her Etta..
Paulina is sweet and her friends can call her Lina... friends always have a way of shortening your name. :)
Bobbie-Jo is probably my least favorite, unless you are naming her after someone, I would avoid it. It is one of those names that could create alot of playground teasing..and sounds very country.
Pearl is a nice old-fashion name that you don't hear everyday.
Kameron is very modern and trendy.. if you want her name to be original/unique don't pick this one,.. there will probably be other Kameron's in her class.
Della and Shannen are both good names.
Out of all 8 names listed I like.....
Shannon... spelled with an "O' is the one I like the best.
Good Luck!!

You want a pretty name for a girl, try Italian names like the following:
Daniella,
Gabriella (short Gabi)
Anella,
Rafaella
Keira
or nice Jewish names in original form like
Rivka! Bet you didn't know that was "Rebecca"!
Etta? Oy Gevalt? Sounds like a name for an old bat living alone in a house in the woods like that chick on Pumpkinhead. Pearl, Kameron, Della, except Shannen all old fashioned names usually found on the decrepit elderly.
Shannen's not too bad. But who cares about names anyway?
As Shakespeare wrote in Romeo and Juliet "What's in a name? A rose by any other name smells as sweet!"
Why not Juliet? Now there's a cool name not very often encountered while we are deluged with boring names like Sue, Mary, Ellen. An even better name is Josette, nice, French, and Barnabas' sweetheart from Dark Shadows. I actually ran into a gal named Josette at a Dark Shadows convention! Great name!
We need more Anellas, Josettes, Juliets, and Rivkas and less Marys, Susans and Beths.

Kameron would be doomed to a life of correcting the spelling of her name on every form, application and who knows what for the rest of her life. Do you really want that? Considering it will sound exactly the same, why not go with the traditional spelling?
Otherwise, thay are all lovely names. I know a woman named Billi Jo. Sweetest lady you'd ever meet. People call her B-Jo which sounds a lot like bijoux, which is French for jewlery.

Etta is cute, and Lina for Paulina, Kameron I like. But Pearl, Della, and Bobbie-Jo sound like the names of toothless hicks.

I like Paulina (Lina or Pauly for a nickname) and Kameron is different (ya know with the K!). If you name your baby Annette you might want to call her Netty or just plain Ann (it isn't common anymore!). I like the names Brielle, Joshlyn and Cosette.

I like the names Annette and Della. Both are unique but not too unique. They are pretty and you could call here Etta for short or Anne if you named her Annette. Good luck.
