I'm currently testing for my ovulation day and have been for a few days now. When I first started testing there was 1 dark line and the other line was a faint. Today I tested and there was only one dark line. I know that if one line is dark and one is faint that I need to wait until both lines are dark for a good surge. I have a 29 to 30 day cycle but I ovulate "sometimes" very early and I'm thinking just maybe I already ovulated because now there's only one dark line. Today is day 11 of my cycle. Do the opk's sometime do that?

they have some great info there!
Some people do ovulate early but if you can figure out how long your Luteral Phase is it would be great cuz that shouldnt change even if your ovulation date during the cycle does. At least thats what my fertility doc says :)

If you have a 29/30 day cycle and today is cycle day 11, you have not ovulated yet.

The test line can change colors, disappear, get darker, get lighter... basically go through many changes before you get that positive.

If you haven't gotten a positive yet, KEEP testing. A positive is when the control line is the SAME or DARKER than the test line, no matter what it looked like before.

My guess is that you'll ovulate around day 16/17, which means you'll test positive between day 14-16 sometime. KEEP testing.

Good luck.

The 2nd line can be light or not there at all. It changes but it only matters when it's as dark or darker than the 1st line. The test telly you about 24 hours before you ovulated, so it will probably be posiitve in the next few days.

You could have already ovulated if you are an early ovulator. i would keep testing over the next week and see how the OPK's come out. Make sure you are testing in mid-day and also check your cervical mucus when you go to the restroom. Thick, clear, stretchy CM is what you want to have.
