Are you breastfeeding? My periods did not return for nearly a year until I was weaning my son off breast milk. The hormones after pregnancy can take ages to settle down and vary so much from woman to woman. Some start ovulating immediately after having the baby and some such as yourself take longer. Don't worry about it, but it might be worth seeing your doctor just to put your mind at rest.

breast feeding mothers not using birth control might not get a period till they stop feeding. I stopped feeding at 8mths and went onto the pill and hey presto a week later I had my period.

I guarantee if start the pill you'll get it. (or any other hormone related birth control like Depo provera or implanon)

Don't worry though, its entirely normal to have no period for 12mths or more.

If you are fully breastfeeding this is not at all unusual. In my first pregnancy I got my periods back around six months later, for my son it was nearly a year!
