Ok, i'm 20weeks pregnant and since yesterday I have had a nasty bout of diarhea. To be blantant its running out of me !!!(sorry !!!)
Is there anything I can take or do to ease it, i've got to do the 1st of 3 school trips at 1130 & I'm a bit worried about leaving the house !!!!
Please don't tell me to speak to my midwife they are impossible to contact & for some reason in the area i live in i haven't spoken to a m/wife since my booking in at 8weeks & won't speak to one again until 32weeks.
Any personal experience/tips would be really appreciated.

It's probably something you ate, that will eventually get out of your system. I have diarhea whenever I eat some veggies. But I've been craving healthy foods so it's kinda hard to stay on that type of path. Thing about what you ate, and then when you have a day when you aren't doing too much try to eat that same thing again. If you have the same problem, then your body is reacting to that certain food. It's a little harder because I have no gall badder. So keep in mind if you don't either, that could be the problem as well. Good Luck!

not a lot you can take medication wise, so you will have to do the old fashioned stuff and drink loads of water to stop dehydration, eat bananas and bread to try and stop the diarrhea. these tend to absorb the extra, shall we say..moisture...!

Take some changes of clothes with you and sit on some towels in case something happens. Or call a friend to take the kids or don't take them at all. It won't be the end of the world if they miss one day at school.

Also you could try phoning your nearest chemist/pharmacy and ask the pharmacist if there is anything you can take from over the counter or something else they can recommend. They should definately know what to do. Or call the hospital and ask them what you should do.

I really feel for you. I had nasty bout of the runs when I was pregnant and I ate banana's and bread (stay away from dairy!!!) and it gradually stopped,

best of luck
