Pregnancy & Parenting - 8 November 2007

I am 5'2'' and fluctuate between 95 to 98 pounds. My BMI is less than 18 and I am considered underweight. I don't have an eating disorder and am pretty healthy. I don't look sickly, I just have a small frame. I am worried that this may be affecting my fertility. I read that being underweight may cause low estrogen levels. I have noticed that I have scant cervical mucus which could be from low estrogen. Do you think this is connected? Anyone have this problem? Anything I can do? I have been ttc for about 4 mos. after a miscarriage in July. HELP!

I tested on Oct 29 and Lasted night on Nov 7th, and both came to be negative, do you think im not? Because on Oct 10 i had a light bleeding for a few days and on Nov 1 i had a heavy flow..help?

Has anyone heard of using a vinegar douche before sex to increase the chances of conceiving a girl? I've read that it immobalizes the male sperm making it much more favorable for the female sperm to reach the egg, especially if you do it 2-4 days before ovulation. I've also read though that it can be dangerous to make one and use it because it can cause infection. I saw someone post that you can buy premade vinegar and water douches from Walgreens, CVS Pharmacy or any other drug store and the follow FDA guide lines so they are very safe to use. Does anyone know if this actually works or has anyone tried it themselves?

okay i just found out im pregnant today..ive had sex with two guys since i last had my period..im pretty sure i know whos it is but im askin for others opinions...okay i last had my period on october 12th..or well thats when i started..i had sex the night before that...which would be when i was ovulating which is a really good time to get pregnant right? well i had sex with another guy on the 22nd of october...but it is to early to show up on the pregnancy test right now isnt it? i didnt use protection with either one..ive had sex with the first one on and off since then...but the other one just that day. i havent missed my period yet for this month i should start around the 12th....i dont know what to do!

I have a problem with my baby that is allergic to certain brands of pampers that has dye in the pamper, I tried using huggies but that brand has dye around the outside of the pamper and my baby broke out in a big rash, I've tried a couple of no name pampers that worked for my other children who were also allergic to pampers, the pamper that worked for them (a Superstore brand President's choice) They were majorly allergic to Pampers and Huggies I had the hardest time finding a pamper that worked for them, but now with my third child who is 6 months old I am having a hard time finding a pamper that works for him I just tried Pampers Swaddlers on him which is working because there is no dye at all around the legs or any area that touches the skin, but the problem is Swaddlers only goes up to size 2, I don't know of any other brand that is over size two that doesn't have any dye around the legs. I've tried the president's choice on him and he is really allergic to it?? Any suggestions??

My neighbor has 2 small girls (ones almost 3, the other almost 1). She's on welfare and her boyfriends beats her at least once a week. She;s not even aloud togo anywhere. She lets her baby cry for hours on end. And to top it all off, she's pregnant again.

I am the type of girl who grew up wanting a life for my child. I never had one. My mom has 4 kids and 4 baby daddys. I am white catholic girl. I grew up goin to church and a lovely grandmother who did everythin for me. I will never be like my mom. I always wanted to have one baby daddy and one husband. I am emotional being pregnant and what not and I always will regret not being married. But I kno now of days there aint no such thing as no baby daddys but I dont care. Thats what I want. Is it wrong to complain about it to my boyfriend? Or do you think thats pressure? He always says one day it will all work out. I mean I dont think I am wanting to get married b/c of the child I kno I love him and he loves me but is it wrong to even tell him I want to get married?

I just dont see why most people see shyness as being so bad. My 7 year old is EXTREMELY shy with adult strangers and I have heard (lately) some negative comments about it. Just frustrates me because he is absolutely the sweetest kid regardless of him being shy.

My baby's heartbeat was 152 bpm.

I know those are old wives tells if it's so much it's a girl or a boy.

I want to hear peoples stories though. What was your baby's fetal heartbeat and what did the sex of the baby end up being?

I go on December 13th for my ultrasound. We'll find out the sex then. This is my first baby and I'm very excited about it.

So i am 3 weeks away from having a baby with my ex boyfriend...he was supposed to move down to MD with me when he grad college in decemeber but we faught a lot during the pregnancy and then he went and got a new girlfriend about 4 weeks ago so he is no longer moving down here. This was really hard for me bc i was relying on him to be down here to help me since i have no family in the area and now I will most likely have to move home to NY. This issue we are having is that when i suspected that he was with someone else i went into his phone voicemails as well as sent this girl text messages from both my number and his number (on the internet) to find out what exactly was goin on. I know this sounds so crazy and i wish i could blame it on being left a month before i am about to have his baby or my preg honrmones...i dont know why i did it. One day i admitted to doing those things wheni was on the phone wit him and he had tape recorded my confession.

I'm curious if anyone knows if your water breaks as the first sign of labor before any contractions with your first child, is it any different or the same with the second? I know this is supposed to be rare but it happened with my older daughter and I'm wondering if that makes it more likely with my current pregnancy or if it wouldn't make a difference and I have the same chance as anyone (I think only 20%) of having that happen. Please only answer if you actually know or can direct me to a site or article that would tell me. Thank you!

i breastfeed, and on oct 31st, i started my 1st period again..(my baby is 5 months) lasted as normal before pregnancy-6 days-, well, the day after that it stopped and my husband and i were intimate again(not sure if it has anything to do with it tho) and then the next day it started again and stopped to brown spotting, and today its doing the same.. what could be the cause of this? am i ovulating now that ive started again? thanks for your help
p.s. and no im not saying the spotting ovulation..so no remarks like that.. i got pregnant on purpose, i know when i ovulated

I've been having a few minor issues in my relationship - where my partner doesn't seem interested in sex anymore, he says I look sexy and all, but when it comes down to it, he just doesn't ever try anything! I have worn lingerie around him, been flirty, etc. But nothing! Lately he has been staying out late (i.e.: play hockey then go for drinks til 1am; work til 2am, etc.) and doesn't call me to let me know he'll be super late! My pregnancy hormones are having difficulty dealing with this - I'm used to being sexy and him unable to keep his hands off... now I get nothing! I asked a question in Marriage & Divorce at 1:30am last night (he still wasn't home - starting to get suspicious) and a couple men responded that pregnant ladies are unattractive and he's probably cheating.... Do you find this to be the case? I'm worried because he had this really skinny hoochy friend before I came along and she's still trying to get in the picture.... could this be where his time is really spent?

I'm just curious, is there any way that I can get this baby to come out and meet the world in the next few days? Any exercises ( besides sex, my doctor advise me against it) and I've tried spice but I eat and have eaten spice lots all through my pregnancy so it doesnt really affect me....and I dont have any money at the moment to go out an get any special oils or capsules....
I'm just so uncomfortable, and want my baby now. I've had definite signs that it will be soon, increased braxton hicks and losing my plug, nesting...but what can I do to just push it a lil closer? Thanks ladies!

That will put me at about 12 weeks. With my first 2 kids I was in the doctors office at 6-7 weeks. Has anyone else waited this long before seeing the doctor? I bought some pre-natal vitamins but I'm still worried that I waited too long.

I am six months pregnant with my second child and I do plan on breastfeeding. I breastfed my first child for only about a month so I never experienced breastfeeding in public. With this child I hope to breastfeed alot longer. My question is for mothers that breastfeed in public. Have you ever had anymore disrespect you for feeding your child? I only ask because I was given a ton of information at my doctors office about breastfeeding and half of it was basically telling me how to defend myself and know my rights. Is public breastfeeding really an issue with some people?

i am 38 weeks

it seems that i need to go to the toilet every 2 hours during the day and night. the feeling i get is like if i dont get to the toilet now i am gonna wet myself (sorry). yet not much to really feel worth going for.

is this because the baby is pushing on my bladder?

and/or

is this a sign that labour is close?
