yes a period means that you have already ovulated... periods are your body disposing of the unused egg and uterine lining

it is totally normal for menstruation to be totally weird during lactation... some women do not ovulate, some have a much delayed cycle, some start back right up 6 weeks post partum... and they can go totally back to normal, to being totally random, shorter/longer, if you were irregular you could become regular now... the list of "normal" is endless!!

I had my first period at 4 months and I was breastfeeding exclusively. It was pretty normal, maybe a little bit lighter. The brown spotting could be the little leftover blood from your period that still needed to get out. You are probably ovulating again, but I wouldn't worry about the brown spotting unless it continues for a lot longer. You can always call your doctor for advice. Congrats on your baby!

Your first periods are just weird. I had my first period after I had my Depo Provera shot and it lasted 14 days (mostly spotting not bleeding). Your body is still adjusting to getting back to normal. There's nothing wrong with you so don't worry.

that is normal your first real period...i did that for a total of 9 days. it freaked me out, but my doctor assured me my body is trying to get back to normal. he put me on birth control to regulate it, and to stop the period.
Dont worry! it will go away soon, and next month should be normal.

Anything is possible if you have sex and are not using protection. I have several cousins who were conceived while their moms were breast feeding.
