I didn't see a doctor with my first until I was about 17wks cause I was in total denial that I could be pregnant. there is nothing wrong with my daughter, who is now four and a half. don't stress over it. take your vitamins, eat good. you've done this before, so take from your own experience as to what you should be doing. you know more than the doctor does about you and your body. enjoy your pregnancy!

i've got been going to the medical expert each and every 4 weeks yet once I hit 28 weeks, the medical expert informed me that i could initiate coming in ever 2 weeks. So i'm going to be 30 weeks on Friday and that i've got an appointment on Monday. At 36 weeks, I initiate going a week. i don't techniques the medical expert however - inspite of the undeniable fact that it somewhat is my first being pregnant so I even have numerous questions. That and that i do certainly not could wait greater suitable than 5 minutes interior the waiting room.

I've never had that, and well and this is my second pregnancy (first was a miscarriage)...the first time I was in when i was 6 weeks, this time, I just went in yesterday, at 5 weeks.
I scheduled an appointment with another doctor before this one and I would have had to wait until I was 8 weeks. Some doctors wait until you're further along, while others will see you right away, it just depends on who you see.

Yes, I have had to wait until 18 weeks, and even 24 weeks! To top it off - I am a high risk person! (preterm labor with all of my children). I took care of myself, took vitamins, and watched for things that were not normal. You can even have your blood pressure checked to make sure things are okay there. Watch for things like bleeding, symptoms of yeast infections or urinary tract infections, and call if something comes up.
There really isn't a test that HAS to be done right now. Especially, if you are not going to abort your baby if it *might* have a defect.
You can even refuse your papsmear until the 6 week postpartum. Try not to worry, all they do is take your blood pressure, and check your urine and weight at this point. Most problems dont' start popping up until the end of the second trimester or longer. Sooo, your baby should be fine.

I am feeling your pain. I haven't been to the doc yet either and I am 11 wks. I hope to get there by 12! Don't worry, this is my third also and as long as I do what I did the other 2 times I'm not worrying.

I've waited that long (and longer, with my first I wasn't seen till I was 16 or 18 weeks...which was really stupid). Don't worry, your baby will be alright. Just take care of yourself and try not to worry too much. Your baby feels that stress. If you want to be seen sooner, you might try to get an appointment with another doctor.

when i had my first about 3 1/2 years ago, i remember seeing the doc right at 6 weeks but i guess now days it is normal for them to wait longer since the docs are so busy with so many patients. as long as you take your prenatals there isnt much else they can do for you this early anyways.

Mine wouldn't even see me til I was about 12 weeks.. I went to the Health Dept and got prenatal vitamins myself and starting taking them. You should be fine unless you feel you have any problems (excessive bleeding etc) then go to the ER.
Don't stress, I am sure you and baby will be just fine.

These days it is normal. My daughter didn't get to see the doctor until she was 12 weeks either. I think it's ridiculous too.
