a. Would you rather be poor and stay with your birthmm, it might be that you have walk to class, wear people hand me downs..
b. Would you rather be adopted into a wealthy family, without ever knowing your birth parents, but you can have whatever you want?

I know this question is pretty much black and white, and real life adoption is probably different, the reason I want to ask this question is because of adoptees' answer on my previous question, many of those people would actually prefer not being adopted when they're young

My brothers getting married next month it's an evening wedding and my mother inlaw told me I shouldn't bring my 8 month old son witch I Kind of agree we as the receptionist wil probably run late but my whole family is going to be there and is expecting me to bring him? What do you think?

I am a 24 yr old divorcee with a 4 yr old daughter. Since getting divorced my ex has seen her a few times but that was a long time ago. He stopped being a part of her life a long time ago. My boyfriend and I are hopelessly in love. We plan on getting married soon and my daughter absolutely ADORES him, she accidently calls him daddy and has told me that she wants him to be her "pretend dad". Nobody has told her or even brought it up, this is her idea completely. Between all the time together, the things he does for her and the love they have, he is preactically her father now. She loves her dad but talks little of him anymore. I don't want to try and replace her father at all but if she looks at him like another father is it wrong to allow her to call him dad if that's what she wants? P.S. I was raised by my step father and look at him as my real dad, no competition.

I was just wondering why moms pick a name that NEEDS a (pronounced: phon-et-ic sp-ell-ing) in parentheses after the name?

Do you plan on including that every time the name is written? if yes, that would be stupid. if no, you realize you're picking a name that will be mis-pronounced all the time?

My daughter has a very out-going personality - when she is with me or her Dad. However, she was recently asked to go to tea after school with a friend. When she got there, she wouldn't go into the house, saying that she was scared and wanted her Mom. It was very embarrassing as the Mother had to bring her home. She has now been asked to another friends house after school. She said that she wanted to go and I explained to the child's mother what had happened last time. As soon as we were home, my daughter said that she didn't want to go and again said that she was scared. She can't tell me what she is scared of and it is very, very frustrating for me and her dad. I know that if she decides to go, I will get a phone call to pick her up as soon as she gets there. We have tried everything that we can think of, to make her more confident about going to new places but nothing seems to work. There seems to be some underlying issue of anxiety, which I don't really understand. Help!!

This is my second pregnancy and I had the same problem with the first. Last night the leg cramps started up again. You know how you might stretch in your sleep and then WHAM!!!! PAIN as if you have something stabbed into your leg muscle.
I drink lots of water, which I hear is one way to help.....but what else can I do.
Cause when this happen your like paralized with pain, until it settles, and its bad cause your half asleep and can't tell yourself to be careful not to stretch too much to prevent this.

last month the day before I ovulated our condom broke, I always get my period on the 6th, I got my period this month on the 2nd it was very spotty and not at all like a normal period and would come and go, I still have it here and there not once needing anything more than a panty liner, it has been 6 days mine never lasts any longer than 3. could I be pregnant?

Im 28 wks preggo now with my first.I have been getting mixed views about whether going normal or c section. I have heard that normal is actually really bad after delivery because you are all torn up and it really hurts for atleast 2 weeks and you can't go to the bathroom because it really hurts. C section on the other hand is easy ..atleast the vagina is intact and for the stiches on the stomach doctors give u pain meds so you're fine.Also can you ask for c section delivery prior to labour or insurance won't cover it? Please advise

So this guy just started talking to me via Yahoo messenger. I never even met him. I have no idea how he got ahold of my Yahoo messenger thing. How shocking is this a baby not even year old was murderd by its parents by being punched in the stomach,The parent were drug users and even when the baby was born they found tracys of drugs in its urine.The crunch is they got 5 years what are the judges thinking off.In my opinion the sociel services that was dealing with this case should also be punished.Any child born to drug users should be put into care for its own protection.Whats your thoughts.

I have bought an opk and have tested everyday since the last day of my period which was back on the 4th ok I'll be honest twice somedays.My question is my husband works 24 hour shifts so if I do get a darker line when he is not here and can't do the act right than how much time do I have.I wish there was abuzzer or something that told you the exact time the egg was released lol

we're traveling home for thanksgiving, it's a 6.5 hour drive and my baby girl will be just over a month old then.
i'm so nervous about driving that far with her, and i am pretty overwhelmed thinking about it! haha
any tips??
(the doctor said to give her a mild decongestant to help her sleep and with the elevation changes over the course of the drive... is that a good idea? and what medicine would i give her??)

i just brought my son home from the hospital,right before i was able to leave with him his docter did his circumcision...they didnt really go over cleaning instructions with me they kind of rushed me out but i was wondering if it is safe to wipe his penis with a baby wipe when he uses the bathroom or should i just use a warm cloth?
