Pope John Paul II said when asked about abortion..."why shouldn't the church of Christ protect those humans who are the most innocent and most helpless".
There are loving people out there who want to adopt a baby.

Why conflate abortion and adoption yet AGAIN?

Did Pope John Paul ever find himself pregnant and already caring for two children and desperately poor? Or did he live in a castle in his very own country?

Oh yeah now I remember, it was the castle.

I don't think of unborn animals of any kind as the most innocent and helpless. There are millions and millions of very innocent and very helpless people and animals of every kind who are living in awful situations and need support and help and wisdom and kindness. I believe in offering them protection.
I am completely in favor of loving people adopting babies from women who choose not to raise their child but, I equally believe in letting a woman choose to not have a baby unless she wants to.
Why not offer all the protection we can to those we ALL agree need it and then when we run out of those who need protection we can deal with this issue. It's not like there aren't millions and millions of living things that are desparate for help. Why not support them and leave the unwanted pregnancy issue alone?

Seeing as I was adopted I believe in adoption, but it is still up to the woman to make the choice. I think these are two issues that are not looked at enough in the right way.

I myself have adopted twice. In the state of Ohio there are near 5,000 kids up for adoption. Get real. These are school aged kids. Everyone wants a baby! The world is overpopulated! Abortion is a personal choice. I feel not right or wrong. Lets take care of the kids that are here! How many abortion basher's have adopted? How many were school aged? Why are Americans begging to have their rights taken away? Yes there are loving people out there who want to adopt,.......just so happens that the amount of children out weight the willing.

I think there are so many people that would love to have children and really need them in their marriage.
Adoption is a very important option. So many girls don't want to Carry a baby full term and go through the labor part.
To each his own. If the people are against abortion, they should try to adopt and prompt others to do the same, if they are capable to care for a child. That is another reason they have abortions, they aren't capable to have the child or provide. I am not saying I am for it, but I have seen situations that I believed were right for that type of situation.=========

I agree that abortion seems to be the main hot button debate on any side of belief systems and there really should be more done to educate girls/women of all their options and let them weigh the pros and cons.......I also agree adoption is the next best thing to keeping and raising a child since there are about the same number of couples and families wanting to adopt as there are abortions.......kind of ironic

I believe in the right to choose. Pro-choice is not anti-life. Sometimes the best choice is adoption, sometimes it is abortion. This is a very personal matter for each individual. I don't think the church has anything to do with it.

personally i hope that i would never have to have an abortion. i feel that using abortion as a form of contraception is totally wrong and people should be more responsible. If abortion was illegal i think that people would be more careful with contraception, yes it may be morally wrong to have an abortion but it also costs money, which the nation has to pay for in taxes so for the people who think they can be careless and have sex without protection without wanting a child and do this as many times as they like, because some people are like that, they need to sort themselves out because it is not fair on everyone else. However in other circumstances i feel abortion would be ok, and these are a few examples, ectopic pregnancies (where egg is developing in the falopian tube) rape cases, failed contraception, sometimes age, or if family or financial circumstances were not right, however in that case it could be argued that adoption is an option, but doing that may cause alot of distress for the parents, i could not imagine carrying a child for 9 months just to give it away. also situations where there are genetic diseases such as cystic fibrosis, although treatments such as gene therapy are available some argue that, that is also unethical as you are altering the genetic make up and 'designing' your baby. For these reasons i do feel abortion should be a choice which people with such situations to be able to have. this is a very sensitive issue and people have many views on, such as religious views, many religions teach that life is sacrid, and it is a sin to kill, however the religious world is then met with the scientific world, which shows that it is not actually consdidered for a woman to be preganant after 6 - 12 says at which is the point when impantation occurs. For the first few weeks of pregnancy the baby is merely only a bundle of cells, so would it be ok to abort at this stage? as humans some of us immediately feel it is wrong because we see it as human life not what the science is truely telling us......however, what about the sould and spirit, for those of us who belive in it would the baby at the stage of a bundle of cells have any of these, or does it receive when the heart beats, brains forms or when birth is giving? i do not know the answers but i wonder, because spirits are known to thrive of electrical current, and we speak of deeper spirits and souls within we relate these to our 'hearts' for eg having a bad heart, is havin bad spirit/soul .......i could go on, but all im saying is, is that many people do not look deep enough into what humans are all about, i do agree that killing a child is morally wrong, but we as humans have choices. whether they be bad or good. no one on the earth will ever be perfect, as people will always steal, murder etc. It is in our nature to do wrong aswel as good. and is also down to peoples perception and opinions whether something is right or wrong in certain situations such as abortion. in a way us humans are causing our own downfall in many, because of our greed and wants, for e.g look at the global warming situation, or people dying in less developed countries, its down to us, that just proves that us in generally are causing our own slef destruct and will always do unethical or morally wrong things such as abortion.

Yes I agree having an abortion is murder. A fetus is still considered a baby, that has not fully formed. It is still a human life. Yes, some people can't have babies so people can give a baby up for adoption.
