Find a hobby, get out with the kids. You are normal. My boredom got to the point that I got a part time job working 2-3 nights a week. It's worked to keep the boredom at bay.

Unless I'm tired, I have a long list of what I wanted to do with my 3 1/2 year old.

1. Go to the library during story time
2. Go to the park or playground in the fast food restaurants where you see other moms as well and strike a conversation, they'll be more than happy to chat
3. Take baby to the cheap movie time or dollar cinama
4. Find out in your town to see what's going so you can catch the happening or free performance
5. Visit museum adult or children (if children usually it's free on certain day.
6. Go to the book store where you and child can enjoy a good book or for story time on certain day of the week.
7. Go to scrapbooking in your local craft store
8. Volunteer for your child school or neighborhood or church
9. If child is enrolled in something as gym or ymca there is something for mom as well, such dance class, whatever
10. Join mom's group on line so you can meet other mom when they have activities plan for the week or month (usually they have a long list of stuff plan out) I ended up not joing becuase they are busy with activities.
11. Take a stroller class
12. Go to the pet store, outdoor market, amusement park, take a class of enrichment in college, work parttime so you'll kill time, do gardening, clean out closet, learn to cook new recipes, take cooking class, visit farm.

13. Find free performance in local colleges, or high schools, local libraries.

14. Take music class or go visit the elders in hospice homes, sick babies, and adopt a pet or something.

I can go on and on, if you get off your butt, you'll find a lot to do. We complain, but not willing to find something challenging to do because we're to lazy.

Unfortunately, I've done just about all and most of these and I get a good sleep at the end of the day, including my kids.

oh god yes..it's hard being a stay a home mom. People don't realize how hard it is they think you just sit home sleep in and watch TV. But it is hard not to have adult conversation, not go out to lunch. i don't know how old your kids are but it will get better. I have been home for 18 years, worked a little now an then. But it is worth it!! Just keep reminding yourself that you are doing a good thing raising your children not all parents have that option to stay home. Good Luck!

lol~ I am a teacher but I stay home w/ my son during the summer. At times, being @ home all day can become boring.

Here are some tips...
1) go outside (playground, library, playgroup, walk, etc)
2) watch a good movie
3) talk on the phone
4) interact with child/children (books, move & groove, arts & crafts, baking, singing, playing, etc)
5) Yahoo Answers:)

Find a hobby! Find another mom to go hang out with and go to the park, mall, etc. I'm a home body by nature and I work from home so I never get a chance to get bored.

Heck yeah!! I'll tell you what really tested my boredom is when the cable and internet service was off for 4 months due to a financial struggle......I sure had to get creative......C'mon.....how many times a day can you play Mahjong??? There's not that much cleaning to do.......plus what else makes it worse for me is that I don't have a car during the day or anyone convenient to hang out with......so when my fiance gets home from work he gets an earfull from me (not in a bad way) because I've stored up all my energy and excitement to have another adult to talk to......I think he finds it amusing......I bet he has to give himself a pep talk to be ready when he comes in so he can handle me talking him to death.....ha, ha.

Yes! I always get bored, but I also just had a baby so I try not to get out much but when I do I love to go shopping. Find other moms to hang out with.

Have you ever thought of doing a course at collage? like something your really interested in that you have never had the chance to do before!? maybe I dunno flower arrangement or a drawing course. Most collages have a creche. When I have my baby boy Im hoping to do something like this. It gets you out of the house etc. Hope this helps :)
