Hello, I've been trying to get pregnant for quiet some time now but have not accomplished it yet. I heard that I could take Prenatal Pills to help me get pregnant. Is this true? If so, when is it okay to take them?

It's fine to take them before you are pregnant, but I've never heard of them helping you get pregnant. Good luck!

It is definitely recommended!! You should take prenatal vitamins containing at least 400 mcg of folic acid for three months before getting pregnant. This decreases the chances of having a baby with neural tube defects (I think that is spina bifida or having a hole in the spine). I don't think prenatal vitamins help you get pregnant. They don't contain calcium so you should also take a multi-vitamin

It's ok for you to take prenatal vitamins before you get pregnant. Some doctors actually recommend you take them a few months before you get pregnant to get you body ready. I don't know if they will help you get pregnant but they will make your body more receptive to accepting a fertilized egg. Good Luck!

Well, they're just multi-vitamin pills which are especially formulated for pregnant women. There's no harm in taking them if you're not pregnant. I doubt they'll help you get pregnant though.
On the other hand, it ensures that you're getting all your recommended vitamins and minerals. And when you're healthy, I suppose you have a higher chance of getting pregnant.

prenatal vitamins aren't fertility meds so they have nothing to do with boosting your chances of conceiving, yes taking the vitamins are good when ttc and whiles pregnant, it gives your baody all the vitamins and nutrients it need for when u do get pregnant, I amcurrently taking some prenatal vitamins myself

Yes, you can take them. Just follow the dosage on the bottle. Usually, it's once a day. Don't take other vitamins too because then you might be getting too much of a good thing. Good luck!

My Dr. actually advised taking prenatal vitamins as soon as we began trying to conceive. it gets all the levels of vitamins needed to grow a tiny little wonder in your belly! :) Prenatal vitamins have extra iron, calcium and other essential vitamins in them.

It won't help you "get pregnant" but it will help prepare your body for a healthy pregnancy, so yes start taking them. I get mine at Walmart or Eckerd. They are called TopCare Prenatal Vitamins.
