Well, technically you conceived (egg and sperm met) 2 weeks ago. It took another 9ish days to implant, so you've only been PREGNANT for about 5 days... but your doctor will tell you you're 4 weeks because they need a specific date to come up with a due date, and most women don't know exactly when they ovulate, so doctors use the last period date. That's called LMP (last menstrual period). So you're 4 weeks LMP. Some doctors will use the other dates, but that's very rare. You'd be 2 weeks post conception.

No when you find out your pregnant you get two weeks just added on. Which makes you 4 weeks pregnant. That because not everyone ovulates on the 14th day, no by the time you find out your pregnant its to late to find out you ovulated so they just take the whole span that you could of gotten pregnant.

Hope this helps.

technically when you go to the doctors they're going to say your 4 weeks it's confusing but they count the two weeks from your period to conception in with that. So your considered 4 weeks along but the baby is only 2 weeks.

They go back a month, to your last period, thats their date.

If he did an ultrasound, its going to be correct, not your LMP. Which means you may have had a period early on in your pregnancy, and didnt know you were pregnant until later.

they determine your due date by the first day of your last period but conception could have been any time that month, not just when you were supposed to be ovulating...
