I am TTC and I have found everything in the world of pregnancy is SO vague. So I thought I would throw this question out to see what the majority of you "felt" like when TTC or conceived. Some women say they just knew they were pregnant and felt symptoms almost immediatly, others say it wasn't until 6-8 weeks. I know everyone is different, but I thought a would do a survey if you will...!

I had practically every pregnancy symptom in the book at times and I wasn't even pregnant. Your mind can certainly play tricks on you.

When I finally conceived, I had no symptoms other than a missed period. I had no sore breasts, no morning sickness, nothing. Later on I experienced the extreme fatigue (maybe around 6-8 weeks), but early on I had no clue I was pregnant other than my period never started.

Pregnancy #1: Missed period, followed by 1 bout of morning sickness.

#2: Extreme sleepiness. Slept for the first 3 months. Started immediately, along with violent vomiting, every time I sat up or caught a whiff of warm air.

#3: Just somehow "felt" pregnant within 2 weeks of conception. Extreme sleepiness lasted 6 months.

#4: Again somehow just "felt" pregnant. Nothing else.

#5: Sudden unexplained weight gain, 20 pounds before first missed period, followed by extreme nausea, lasting 3 months, no vomiting. Only gained another 16 pounds entire pregnancy, and had 5 pounds each twins.

Obviously every one and every pregnancy is different, so how can anybody really know what to expect? Just another of those things you just have to roll with.

By the way, in the days when I had mine, there were no pregnancy tests. Actually, the way a doctor determined a pregnancy, he'd ask the woman questions to find out wheher she wanted to be pregnant or not. If, in his judgement she did, he'd encourage her to believe that she was, and make another appointment. Usually, by the time he saw her again, she would be. And the reverse worked too.

I didn't have symptoms until I was about 9 weeks. We tried for 5 months before conceiving, and I always "felt" pregnant but then turned out to not be. Then the month I actually was, I didn't feel a thing and was convinced I wasn't. It's a tricky business!

During the first few weeks I felt very nauseous a few times and had to lay down for a while. I thought it was way too early to be feeling symptoms. I found out later that I was pregnant though. I don't think it was a coincidence. Around the time where I had a positive test, I was noticing that I couldn't button my pants anymore(bloated). With both this pregnancy and my last one I gained a few pounds during the first few weeks before the positive test too. It gave me a cushion for the rest of the first trimester where I didn't gain much of anything.

With my first child I did not feel like I was pregnant till I was about 6 weeks or so. With my second child I felt pregnant almost immediately.

My wife and I had 4 babies which are now all grown adults. With our youngest, my wife and I had sex and about 10 minutes later she rolled over kissed me on the cheek and said...."We're pregnant again."

With the other 3 she had to be convinced she was pregnant by the doctors. She had absolutley no symptoms what so ever.

You might not believe me, but I knew down the exact day when I fell. Never had a positive pregnancy test. My doctor asked me if I felt pregnant and when I said yes, he replied that in that case I was because women usually always know for certain. Nine months' to the day my son made his appearance.

I knew the moment I concieved. I felt pregnant. My pregnancy symptoms didn't show up until a week after I concieved.

I have been pregnant twice. Both times I did not know I was pregnant until my clothes started getting tight because I was not thinking about getting pregnant.
I believe it has a lot to do with your state of mind and body.
