Hi,
My son is 9 weeks 3 days old - he got his first shots this last thursday, since then he has not felt well at all. no fever but you can just tell by his eyes that he does not feel well. he is very fussy etc. Today diahrea started - i called my doc and he said to take him off formula for a day or so and give him pedialyte instead. is this ok for such a young baby? thanks! (I have a dr apt tomorrow to have him checked out.)

I am interested in a normal name...Nothing that sounds like it belongs in Hollywood...I gave the example "Brooklyn" which could be shortened to "Brooke." But I do not want a name that ends with "lyn"..I can think of lots of those....Thanks for your suggestions!

We live in a third floor apartment. We have never had any complaints about our 2 year old grandchild before, but new people moved in on the second floor who are constantly running to the landlord complaining. They say her running across the floor sounds like a herd of elephants. Management was on our side, because she is only 2. But now all of a sudden, management is siding with the new people below us. So we are afraid of getting evicted. We don't know what to do. We try getting the 2 year old interested in something less obnoxious... it doesn't work. We can't sit and hold her all day and evening..nighttime she sleeps. She is a normal 2 year old little girl. They even griped when she was sitting in her high chair, because she hit on it a couple of times, with her hand. The high chair is plastic with a plastic tray. If she runs, jumps, or makes too much noise, they complain. Yet they have 3 very noisy boys, who are NOT quiet. What should we do? Thanks in advance.

I had volunteered my 10 year old daughter this summer to be a scorekeeper for a local minor league baseball team.

At first she seemed to really enjoy the job and spending time at the ball park. However, she did make quite a few mistakes in scoring the game initially. I really had to go out on a limb to get her this job and didn't appreciate her taking it so lightly.

Eventually I stepped in to help her while she and her stupid mother went on a vacation to the Lakes. That was disappointing, but tolerable.
What was NOT tolerable was my daughter then failing to return to scorekeeping with an improved attitude and ability.

I had her watch 3-5 hours of baseball a day. My goal is to have her work for the local team after High School. Why doesn't she see this as a great idea? Not only is it an interesting career for her, but it would allow me to get into the games free.

This is NOT satisfactory, and I am beyond broken and betrayed at my daughter's lack of faith in my vision

A friend of ours does this with her kid and I think it is way to early especially during the summer. Too much sleep can be worst than not enough, look it up. What time did/do you put yours around this age? Mine do to bed at 8:00 - 8:30 pm.

I have already had 4 children, and my baby is almost 6, I desperately want one more, but I feel this calender is not helping. It says my best days to conceive would be starting this saturday, would it be wise to just start tonight or tomorrow? I ask because I usually want to be with my husband right after my period is over, but I make myself wait a week to try on the best days, should I just be trying when I desire him?, or should I keep waiting?. It's been 9mos, and still no baby. My mother had 18, and I have never had any trouble in the past, what could be wrong?. The only thing that is different is this bubble feeling in my lower left side that aches, but the doctors says everything looks good. But I sense something just isn't right.

I had my first measurement taken today and the doc said I'm measuring about 2-3 weeks ahead. This is just by measuring the outside of my belly. What exactly does this mean? I was never ahead with my daughter so this is new to me.

My sister that is 14 is in highschool and I think her school is bad. She was talking to some black girl named Jen and it was like:
My sister: Can you please move? I need to go to french.
Jen:Make me.
My sister: Please move I am going to be late.
Jen: No, white girl.
My sister: She pushes past and shes like wtf?
Then after school Jen trys to cut her hair but missed and cut part of her bag that I bought for my sister.
I am not saying that all black people are bad but I am just saying that isn't it childish? What she did isn't it really stupid? Whats with the whole white trash black trash thing? I just always prefer from then to now that we're all people.

I was diagnosed with P.C.O.S. in June of this year. I was heartbroken. My doctor said that I have a few cysts, not a lot, on my ovaries. I have done some research on P.C.O.S. and I am in fear that I will never get pregnant. I have irregular periods so that does not help at all.
I have been ttc for over a year and a half now and nothing. I get so upset and I cry sometimes. I try not to worry about it, but it is just too hard.
My boyfriend is very supportive of me, but it just kills me that we have had no luck after all this time. We are both financially and emoitionally ready for a baby but this having P.C.O.S. kills me.
Anyone out there have some advice/success stories out there to keep my hopes up? I would appreciate all your help.

I have thought about this a long time and asked my friends about it and I wanted to get some other ideas from you good people.
There are people starving in certain countries for decades now and they keep having babies that are also starving.
I can't understand why they would bring a child into a situation like that.
Some people say because they don't know any better and don't know how to prevent pregnancy, but I would think they would figure it out eventually.
It is like they are giving their children a death sentence and the poor kids don't even have a chance.
So why do they keep doing it?

My husband and I have 4 boys, 2 are mine and 2 are his. For Christmas they all want a Nintendo DS. The problem is that his oldest son is failing 2 subjects in school (he is repeating the 4th grade). I instructed him to start bringing home his books from both subjects and to review the chapters they are studying that week every night. 2 weeks ago he brought home a progress report and he is STILL failing those classes. I told him then that if he brings his report card home on Nov 15th with ANY failing grades he could forget about getting a DS. Today he brings home a test from one of the subjects and he just blew it. He made a D (failing as far as we're concerned). I asked him where his books were and he said one was on the table and the other was in his book bag. I told him to go study and when I wanted to review the chapters with him I find out he lied about bringing both books home. At this point I'm ready to say forget it to the DS and not even worry about it. Am I being unfair?
