I was diagnosed with P.C.O.S. in June of this year. I was heartbroken. My doctor said that I have a few cysts, not a lot, on my ovaries. I have done some research on P.C.O.S. and I am in fear that I will never get pregnant. I have irregular periods so that does not help at all.
I have been ttc for over a year and a half now and nothing. I get so upset and I cry sometimes. I try not to worry about it, but it is just too hard.
My boyfriend is very supportive of me, but it just kills me that we have had no luck after all this time. We are both financially and emoitionally ready for a baby but this having P.C.O.S. kills me.
Anyone out there have some advice/success stories out there to keep my hopes up? I would appreciate all your help.

Obviously I dont know what your future holds, but yes I have some encouraging stories.
I have 2 close friends, who both were diagnosed with PCOS and both told they would have trouble concieving, and may not be able to have babies or would need medical help to have babies.
Both friends within half a year of ttc were pregnant.
One friend went on to have another 4 babies - all pregnancies happened easy for her and she had no complications.
The other friend had one other child, again without much waiting till she fell pregnant.
Both friends have had quick conceptions, easy pregnancies and no m/c or anything else.
Both friends were surprised! Especially the 2nd one with 2 kids, because she had alot of suffering from the symptoms of her pcos including irregular periods.
So, hope those are encouraging stories.

Good luck.

Here is my story. I am now 28 and have PCOS. I was diagnosed about three years ago. I cried and cried and was like why me.. But I knew I couldn't give up hope. I know you have hope! Don't let no one tell you that you can't. I eventually went to a doctor and was given chlomid. I took it for one month and i had my first ever normal cycle and ovulated!! I did not get pregnant that month because i think i am insulin resistance (part of having PCOS) and didn't use metaforamin with the chlomid. I never went back to the doctor b/c i decided to hold off.. Well here i am again ready to be a mommy. I am going to try an organic way this time.. I have done a lot of research on the herb Vitex *Me and my best friend *who also has PCOS* just bought some from GNC yesterday. I am taking it with a prenatal vitamin, and vitamin E *b/c i smoke and they say that smoking causes you to be vitamin E deficient, and chromium to help with the insulin resistance. Vitex is a natural herb that stimulates the pituitary gland that regulates your homone system. Basically we PCOS people produce too much estrogen and not enough progesterone. I am also going to start charting again on fertilityfriend.com (taking my basal body temp *which is just using a digital thermoter* every morning) because that helps me know where i am at in my cycle and when and if i ovulate. *it actually brings you close to your body*. If for some reason the herbal regime doesn't work then i am going to go back to the doctor in may *when i can finally get my health insurance back* and go on chlomid b/c i am not giving up and you shouldn't either. I have read countless success stories with both chlomid and vitex.
Just don't try to stress about it and just face it as something you know you can beat. There are also a lot of support groups that are on the net that you can join. Just don't let anyone tell you *doctors* that there is any hope.. if they do get a new doctor. Also a suggestion if u do decide to get on Chlomid ask about metaforamin for insulin resistance people. i think that i didn't get pregnant that month because i didn't take the metaforamin with the chlomid.. I know this is a long response.. i just hope that it gives you the hope that you are looking for.. Good Luck.. and if you have any questions feel free to email or IM me.. melissa_1016@yahoo.com

Honey, just because you don't have regular periods doesn't mean you don't ovulate every month. I was diagnosed same as you; with few cysts and was told it would not affect my fertility in the near future. Go get the book "Taking Charge of Your Fertility" by Toni Weischler. It explains a lot about TTC with PCOS and some things you can do to boost fertility. It also explains some of the tests you should have done at your preconception appointment...there they may be able to determine whether you need the aid of fertility treatments or if it is as simple as timing (you may be ovulating at a different time than you think) but see a specialist about this as PCP's do not specialize in this field and there are specific times to do certain tests and certain numbers to watch out for. Good luck, I have an appointment this week with my doctor. Just try to stay positive, no matter how bad it gets things could always be worse!

Now everyone can cure infertility using this natural remedy http://pregnancyhelps.info
infertility can run in the family and one of the first things the doctor asks you when you go to a fertility clinic is your family history regarding cases of infertility or other reproductive issues.
If infertility is caused by genetic disorder then it's not unusual that one of the kids (your mom) doesn't have it and another does (your aunt).
two months of trying is still to early to be concerned about the fact that you might be infertile and it's also quite early to go to a fertility specialist. Go to a regular Obgyb to get a closer insight and see what ways there are are to improve your fertility rate.
Also remove alcohol, caffeine and cigarettes from your life because they might influence your chances too. Stress is also a risk factor when it comes to infertility.

first way to treat pcos is to get your blood sugar and insulin under control.
1) eat less sugary, processed (high glycemic index foods)
2) exercise is good for women with pcos, even walking around somewhere for an hour a day perhaps.
3) Lose weight if you need to, losing a few pounds/ kg if you are overweight helps your cycle to become more regular.

A good website is www.ovarian-cysts-pcos.com and yes, once you get a regular cycle, you are more likely to ovulate, then you are the same as any other woman. Don't be sad, just research the solutions to help it. Good luck!x
