Pregnancy & Parenting - 11 October 2007

Ok I stay at home with my son, who now sleeps through the night wonderfully and naps just fine. I also live with my parents (husband is deployed in Iraq) so I get some help with him. I also get a little break once a week to do something for me (aimlessly walking through Target...) So why am I so exhausted? I need to know if I need to suck it up or if there are other stay at home moms who are exhausted too?

when are u due? what are ur symptoms so far ? and how far along are u? and if u dnt mind i would liek to know how old these beautiful mommies to be are. i recently turned 18(last sunday) im 13 weeks pregnant and im due April 13th.

Hi everyone out there!!!! I went to my gynae today & he did a ultrasound scanning to my uterus. The scan showed empty uterus & he told me not to worry because if in this case, maybe I am not fully 5 weeks pregnant.

Then, he did a urine test for me & he confirmed its positive. He gave a folic acid & prenatal vitamin & asked me to come back after 2 weeks to have uterus scan.

He told me that if in these 2 weeks, if My Period Come, means I am miscarriage & if the ZIGOT (hope i am not wrong) in the outer of the uterus, it have to be abort.

I want to know if the urine test is positive but the uterus still cant detect it, means I am consider pregnant now????

Worried & ttc for 6 mths..... Thanks for all ur answers & baby dust to ppl who r ttc out there!! GOD BLESS!!!

my son was 5 months old on oct. 4. hes seems to be developing normally - hes up on his hands and knees rocking back and forth, trying to crawl. he just started cereal and hes somewhat social. hes always been a quiet baby, somewhat serious. he doesnt smile for strangers often. my concern is that he doesnt put much in his mouth. he can easily grab things and manipulate them from hand to hand, and he occasionally puts something new in his mouth but he mostly just feels it with his fingers. he doesnt have an appt with his dr for almost another month, but im wondering if its something i should talk to him before that. hes even teething, but when hes in pain, even then usually its just his fingers. im kind of worried just because of the fact that hes such a serious baby and i look at my nephew (hes 5 weeks older) and everythings been in his mouth for like 2 months now and he smiles and giggles at everyyyyone.

A coule of days ago I took my baby out to the next door neighbors house to show her off. As i took her out of the stroller the kids who were throwing a football around accidently threw it at her. it hit the back of her head and my hand. She didn't cry actually she smiled. but it was trown with full force. Should i be worried or look for any signs? It wasn't red where she was hit and she acted as if it didn't even faze her. PLEASE HELP IM FREAKING OUT!

I just had my Son on Tuesday and Im breastfeeding. I noticed the other day that I've gotton a rash all over my Breast and stomache. But only the rash on my stomache itches. I didnt get this with my 1st child when I breastfeed. Is this common or could it just be a allergic reaction to something?

Hi

I'm 12 weeks pregnant. When I woke up the morning and went to the bathroom, I noticed light brown spotting. So of course panicked and cried my eyes out in the shower. About an hour later is was completely gone. Has any one else experienced this? What was it and what did you do? Thanks so much!

Ok so i have read recently that you should not eat peanuts or peanut butter while pregnant or nursing to help prevent a peanut allergy, BUT how about other nuts? Or other nut butters? I do love a good PB&J sandwich every now and then so I was wondering if I should get a jar of almond or cashew butter instead. Any insight?

My daughter has always been a pickey eater. When she tries new things she always gag and sometimes the food come up. The only thing she eat is chicken, pizza, steak, waffles, sausage, and some fruit. I have tried to get her to try new foods but she always gag. Well I have always been worried about what will she do when she start school. She just turned 4 years old and in June I enrolled her in pre school. When she started I told her that she only eat the foods I named above. They immediatly told me that all kids are like that and once she get around the other kids and see them eating, that she will also eat. I told them that I know this is not the case because I have tried that method before. Anyways now it is October, 4 months later and they cannot believe that she will not eat noting on her plate. So she goes all day at the day care with no food because they will not substitute if it is not for allergies. Do a day care supposed to let her just not eat. What should I do?

Okay so last week I noticed some spotting. It wasn't because of sex, I didn't have sex the day before I noticed spotting. I called my OB and she said it was ok, just my cervix thinning perhaps. This morning I also noticed some pink spotting. I haven't had any contractions yet. I have noticed a little mucus, but it's not blood tinged. (Kinda resembles snot) Will this mean my baby could come any time??

OH and people keep telling me I'm not going to have a big baby, because my stomach isn't that big. However I have gained 40 lbs and my stomach measures accordingly.(37 weeks)

i have messed up my pills about 3 times this month...like skipping a day and taken 2 pills the next day like once a week
(i was on vacation, worked crazy shift work just forgot) then i had a biospy done a week ago and had alot of problems w/ that i bleed for about 2 days pretty good...now im 2 days late on my period im not sure if i should be worryed yet but i kinda am...i go to the dr. 2mor i was gonna ask to take a pregnacy test there but i don't think i want to cuz i want to switch dr.s and im gonna tell them 2mor after they tell me what is going on w/ the biospy
when should i start to worry or take a test?

Im waiting to hear back from an attorney, but in the mean time.....My 8 yr old son told me his dad is always yelling at his gf, and he has even seen him hit her. I grew up in an abusive home, so i know how it feels hearing someone yelling, even when not directed toward you. So I truly beleive this is emotional abuse. Also, very often no one is home to get him off the bus, my boy has had to walk 1/4 mile down a main, busy road to the neighbors. I feel this is neglect. Am i wrong to call CPS? we share joint custody, and last school year he started staying with his dad during the school years.

my son got in trouble at school for telling someone he was going to stab them, this was his best friend, i know he didnt mean it and they are best buds again, but i know they ahave to take everything seriously. i am a single mom and his dad isnt in the picture very much, it seems kind of out of sight out of mnd for him. he doesnt get in trouble alot at home, and i dont get the attitude that his teachers do. he never smiles and has a negative attitude at school,at home he smiles all the time. i do work alot but he has great day care and my parents take him on the weekends to spend time with him because i work. im not sure if i should get him into some counciling or what or if it will just pass. he is 9 and i havent met a 9 yr old that hasnt had an attitude problem at some point in time. but any advice?? im just really shocked that those words came out it was totally out of charactor for him.
