Where do I start working against abortion? Any suggestions?

I would recommend fundraising and volunteering at Crisis Pregnancy Centers and shelters for women who find themselves in a "crisis pregnancy." If there isn't one in your area, why not go to the nearest and learn what you can do to found one?

I'm as pro-life, anti-abortion, anti-choice as they come, label me as you see fit. But I find it irresponsible to rage against a problem without offering and helping with a viable alternative.

I'm presently working on some crib quilts for a charity auction to benefit our local shelter.

My suggestion is to start with preventing the need for abortion. Most abortions are due to unplanned pregnancy so that would be where I would start. Get involved with a group that is proactive whether it's to promote abstinence(although even married women get abortions at an alarming rate) or sex/birth control education. Your local health department might be a good place for info on who needs help.

Start by doing charity and education drives in bad neighborhoods. Help women in need. Provide them with social support, guidance, and emotional hope. Take away the motivation for abortions, and you won't have to waste your time protesting laws that will likely never be overturned.

Why would you want to??? Keep out of other peoples business. If they want an abortion, who are you to tell them otherwise. It's there life NOT yours.

Start volunteering at a women's clinic to help educate women on the other alternatives, and on birth control. Just please don't become one of those protesters with signs with pictures of dead babies on them. That's just uncalled for.
