Hi everyone out there!!!! I went to my gynae today & he did a ultrasound scanning to my uterus. The scan showed empty uterus & he told me not to worry because if in this case, maybe I am not fully 5 weeks pregnant.
Then, he did a urine test for me & he confirmed its positive. He gave a folic acid & prenatal vitamin & asked me to come back after 2 weeks to have uterus scan.
He told me that if in these 2 weeks, if My Period Come, means I am miscarriage & if the ZIGOT (hope i am not wrong) in the outer of the uterus, it have to be abort.
I want to know if the urine test is positive but the uterus still cant detect it, means I am consider pregnant now????

Your doctor is absolutely right. It might be to early to really see anything. The hormones that cause a pos. pregnancy test start when the egg implants but it is far to small to see on a scan for several weeks after that. Between 5-6wks you will only see a yolk sack and between 6-7 you will see the start of a heart beat. I got a pos. urine test at 3wks 5 days which would have been way to early to see anything if I had a scan done.

Hi!
It may be too early, if you are off on your dates by one week or even a couple of days then that can mean a world of difference.
By 5 weeks there should be a sac showing up, but if you were only 4 weeks then there would be nothing.
Right now is just a waiting game, if your hcg test showed positive then you are pregnant.
I would just relax, though I know how hard it can be too, and wait until that 2nd hcg test.
If you can't wait, which I would want to know, have the dr. bring you back in for another hcg test to see if the levels have gone up. You would be able to see if your levels are going up the day after your first blood test.

I'd say you're pregnant, but as the doctor said, you're not far along enough to tell. The only other option is that it's an ectopic pregnancy, that was the option that you would have to abort as the baby is outside the uterus. Either way, right now, you're pregnant. Good Luck, hope all goes well with the second ultra sound.

The gestational sac shows up around the 5th week. At 6 weeks the baby and beating heart is visible. ( I saw this pregnancy at 6 weeks, beating heart and my little bitty baby ). If the test is positive then you are either pregnant, and very early. If in 2 weeks there is nothing visible on the ultrasound, then it's a miscarriage or an ectopic pregnancy.

You are pregnant. It's just too soon to see anything in your uterus. Try not to stress about it... I'm sure at your next appointment you'll see a little white sac in there and all will be well.

5 weeks is waaaaaaaaaaay to early/
i didnt see anything at 6 weeks. i left crying!!! came back a couple of weeks later and there she was!!
