Pregnancy & Parenting - 8 October 2007

My baby is 5 months old next week and has started turning herself onto her tummy at night. She can only turn one way at the moment so can't turn herself back onto her back yet. Im alittle worried about SIDS but did read somewhere that once they start turning the risk goes down. Is this when they can turn over onto tum and back onto back again or just onto tum. I keep turning her back but she likes to sleep on her tum!

im 36 weeks pregnant and i think maybe my baby has dropped and when i go pee there is a while watery liquid thats in the toilet..i been having mild period like cramps off and on for the last 4 days i have an apointment with my docter in 3 days..is that to long to wait to see my docter?

My little girl 5. has always been spirited. She has attended preschool in the past and getting dressed was a struggle but this year is terrible! I physically have to hold her when dressing her, brushing teeth, hair etc. She is a defiant little one with lots of spunk and drama and also the type that as soon as she comes home strips off the clothes. I can't keep going through these morning battles and I can't send her to school naked. She's never been diagnosed with any med problems. But it's got me wondering. Any advice would be helpful.

Okay this is kind of detailed but I need more options shown to me! My neice is in Kindergarten and due to boundaries must go to a school 5miles from her house and town. The problem is my brother a single parent works, as do the rest of the adults in her life, and we cant find a daycare to transport her to and from this school. We tried for a transfer but the first request was denied b/c it was a preference! Any other ideas as to what we can try? hPlease no sarcastic answers. We just need some real ideas on how to resolve the issue. Using his lunchbreak is starting to cause work issues as he works in flooring and has to leave his coworker hanging before their scheduled lunchbreak. In home daycare is not an option either people here expect upwards of $9/hr.

hi, advice would be great please,
im 23 weeks pregnant and have noticed im getting alot of water weight, now im trying everything, drinking lots of water/excerise/ etc..
no of course i realise im going to put weight on and this is my 3rd child, but this is making me depressed aand not want to go out the house, any other suggestions to stop the water weight? or am i just gonna have to live with it?
also it takes months before i get rid of it, once iv had baby??

I have a 3 year old he'll be 4 next month. He sneaks food, plays in the bathroom, gets water everywhere takes whatever he can to put water in and puts it all over in his room, gets into toothpaste any kind of meds that are in a tube. Like a cream and paints it on their desk in their room. He got the salt this morning and dumped it all over the floor. His dad and I are divorced and I am remarried. I am pregnant and we are getting ready to move. I don't know what to do anymore with him. I know its hard cause we are moving, but this is getting out of control. And costly too.

I had an HCG shot on 9/24 and a double IUI on 9/25 and 9/26. I tested on 10/1 and 10/2 just to ensure that the HCG was no longer in my system. Both tests were negative.

Yesterday, I tested at 10:00 AM and got a faint BFP with FRER. But, I had several tests out, one of which I had used the day before that I forgot to toss out (it was a negative result). I used that test thinking it was the new one I had just opened. This is when I got the faint BFP.

I tested 2 more times yesterday and one time this morning, all with FRER, and all BFN. I had my blood drawn this morning for a quantitive beta HCG test so I will know for sure this afternoon.

Has this ever happened to anyone else?

I had took my daughter to a specialist when she was about 1 1/2 and they didn't see her walk on her tippy toes so they assumed she didn't. But now she won't stay off them and she's two and a half. Should I video tape her doing it to prove to them that she does? They said she would out grow it but I don't think shes going to. What should I do?

My 15 year old daughter just came to live with me. She lived with her father from age 10 to 15. He sent her to me so she could get more help with her schoolwork and attention in general. He works late and does not help her much with her school work.

I live in another state and she does not like living with me or the school that she is going to. She was throwing tantrums in the evening because of this and then saying she was going to "fail."

She did very poorly on a book report that she had to do and on Chemistry quizzes/ labs.

I don't know how much I should be helping her. I try to quiz her and review her reports. I don't want to rewrite them though.

I feel responsible for not living up to her or my ex-husband's expectations because I am not helping her to achieve A's and B's in school. She was not gettting good grades at her other school.

How should I handle her bad grades in this school? The grades should teach her about her tantrums and stop them.

My one year old has had the stomach flu since Friday night. He vomited all night the first night and vomited and had diarrhea the next day. Saturday night he went to the ER to get IV fluids and yesterday he slept most of the day. Today he is still sleepy and weak and still does not want to eat or drink. I have to force feed him fluids - could it be something other than the flu or does it usually last this long?

This is going to be out 1st child and I am getting nervous/scared about delivery. As I was getting out of the shower last night and looked in the mirror and started crying...it hit me all of a sudden. we sent out nearly 40 invitations for my sons birthday, which is this weekend. We sent them 2-3 weeks early, yet only 3 parents RSVP'd. I'd be heatbroken if only the three kids turned up, my son would be devestated. should i take it that the rest wont turn up? Or do you think they will?

me and my greatgrandma was soooo close. we did everything together.. and i told her everything... she died on friday and yesterday while the whole family cried at her funeral.. i couldnt... i miss her sooo much... but i couldnt cry.. i feel so cold hearted.... and im so sad.... but was it bad not to cry???
