Pregnancy & Parenting - 8 October 2007

I sometimes get a funny, light pressure feeling in my lower abdomen, and recently I have noticed when I poke it it is usually hard, but after I poke it it goes away, and isn't hard anymore. It feels almost like the baby is laying agianst my uteran walls, but I am not sure if that is possible. I have been feeling fetal movement (please don't tell me this isn't possible this early unless you happen to live in my stomach and can prove that) since about 13 weeks even, so it doesn't seem odd to me that I might be feeling the baby lay against me. Any answers are appriciated! thanx

I don't know what to do... This one girl I know was expecting a couple months before me and she asked me what I was naming my baby. I told her and she told me what she was naming hers. It turns around that she had her baby and named it the same name I'm going to name mine. Now she's going around telling people that I copied off of her. What would you do if you were me? I don't want to change my baby's name.

settled, she eats well thru the day, she wont take a rusk in her bed time bottles ive tried giving an extra ounce of milk thru the day which she doesnt take but she wants milk thru the ngt. im totally shattered thru the day becoz im having a broken sleep, and suffer post natal too ! help plz xx thanks

I'm having a sleepover w/ my 2 buds Katy and Brooklyn.I really really really want it to be fun and kinda wild, but not to wild where my parents won't be able to sleep.my room is at the end and then there's is at the other end so can't hear that much.So anyone have any ideas on how to have fun?

Ever sat down and watched your belly make continuous, repeative movements. All day baby has my belly moving like he is breathing or suckin his thumb! Which one is it! It would be nice if he is practicing his breathing that would mean he could be releasing the hormone to make me go into labor soon right? Ill ask my doctor in the am but want to know others thoughts!

I have four beautiful children.
My first born- Spencer Cole Sturton
Then I had Carrisa Noelle Sturton
then came Sophia Grace Sturton
and last but not least Trevor Luke Sturton.

I saw a mother the other day at the mall. She had the cutest little girl in a pink dress with her and they were sharing some ice cream. The mother was covered in tattoos, had both arms sleeved and a few tats on her ankles.

Watching them for a moment I noticed that I couldn't distinguish her from any other mother in the mall besides her tattoos, and that her tattoos didn't make a difference in how she interacted with her child. She was just another mother to me. Of course, some of the people around me were scowling at her, as if she had no right raising a kid. One woman made a rude remark that I caught about half of.

Personally, I think that physical appearance does not matter, it matters if a parent is a good parent and not if they *look* like they are. I mean, my father was horribly abusive but he looked like a perfect gentleman.

So what do you guys think? Should it matter what a parent looks like, or should it matter how they treat their child?

I am suspecting that I am might be pregant though I havent proved this clinically. I have been urinating very frequently for the past two days like after every one hour and was wondering whether its normal for one to urinate frequenty that early in pregnancy. My period is due tomorrow and I dont want to take a test yet. Did anyone of you experience this?

Well I didn't think I was because I had my period last month (and we used a condom) but I found out today that I am for sure pregnant. I had been throwing up 4-5 times a day and couldn't figure it out, so I went to the dr today and he confirmed it.

I have been with my boyfriend for 3 years, with a little break in there, but we recently broke up due to the fact that he started having feelings for his ex, who he also has a child with. (It sounds trashy, but it really isn't, they were married and she couldn't handle the military lifestyle.) Anyway, how in the world do I tell him? For some reason I'm afraid he will be mad at me, though this wasn't intentional in the least! We were still together before he left. He is gone on a mission for a week so he won't be able to receive mail til he gets back and I don't know how to tell him. He won't be back in the states until Aug. Any advice would be appreciated. I'm a senior in college and he's 28, I'm afraid I won't have his support.

I'm currently 13 weeks pregnant after a 10 week miscarriage. Needless to say, I've been extremely nervous this pregnancy. Now that I am almost to the point where miscarriage is less likely, I'd like to know some reasons for miscarriages in the second trimester. I know it could be some of the same reasons as first trimester miscarriage, but it seems that there would be something more if it occured in the second trimester. Thanks!

Ok, I am on the second pack of BC since I had my son. I have had 2 periods and they were normal. My last period was Sept. 20-25. Hubby and I made love somewhere between Sept. 26-29 and then Oct. 1. Oct. 5, I had really bad cramps, headache and nausea. I thought I was pregnant at first but then realized later that I couldn't be pregnant then, because you don't ovulate a week after AF. I thought maybe I was ovulating. I know on the pill, you aren't suppose to ovulate, but it can happen. Hubby and I made love again Oct. 6. AF is due somewhere between Oct. 16-18. Could the cramps, headache and nausea be side effects or ovulation?

I had a miscarriage in June and am now pregnant and 13 weeks pregnant. I recently rented a digital fetal monitor and love it because I can hear my baby's heart beat and get the rate each day. After reading some things, I'm wondering if this is safe to use each day. Most of the literature out there says it is, but then people on here say it's like a helicopter hoovering over the baby. Anyone know the truth about this? Thanks!

I am concidering changing my 15mo daughter to cloth diapers, she has a terrible problem with continuous rash, sometimes it get so bad it blisters, and i believe the cloth diaper being more breathable will help reduce this rash problem we've been having.
but i don't really know where to start, i hear about liners and ones with pins and ones with velcro??? and how many do i buy? i change her diaper roughly ever1 to 2 hours everyday except while she's asleep at night, so thats roughly 8 to 10 times a day, not to mention she wakes up in the middle of the night still so i change her when that happens to. so i'll give it a dozen diapers a day. do i day two dozen then? or three? i want plenty for those Just in case moments, and someone told me you change more often with a cloth diaper.

so what'er liners? do i have to buy those seperate? How many should i buy? where is a good place to buy from? to i have to bleach them when i was them? soak them?
