every pregnancy is different also after having a first child you start to show sooner with the second because the muscles are already stretched out and you have less elasticity in your skin. I started to show at about 6 months with #1 then with #2 i was about 5 months and this time i was 22 weeks when i just woke up one morning with a baby bulge. LOL

Nothing is wrong with you. Each pregnancy will be different in MANY aspects. Sometimes you will get "lucky" and not show or gain much weight until much later in the pregnancy (I've known women who didn't show until they were 8 months and they had perfectly healthy babies). Sometimes you will show much earlier. Degrees of sickness will be different, and other reasons. Reasons like this are reasons why a lot of gender tall tales developed. For instance, someone in your position might have had a girl, and then a boy, so they assumed that gaining more weight faster meant you were having a boy. That's why it is always important, in any aspect of pregnancy to research and ask your doctor if your scared of anything. That is what they are there for! If your doctor seems to do the thing all doctors do and try to get you out as quickly as possible, try going to a health department, they know a LOT about pregnancy and I've noticed they seem to ask you 20 million times per visit if you have any questions. :) Just be careful though, if you are showing this soon, to weigh yourself. You shouldn't gain more than 25 or so pound during your pregnancy... so if your gaining that at the beginning, your going to have to try to maintain that later on and it will be difficult. (Trust me, I'm in that position myself now). Just be careful to try to follow the pyramids and eat whats healthy for your weight/height (in calories) plus approx 300 extra for each child your pregnant with (in case of multiples!). If you have any more questions, you can also make an appointment at a WIC center near you if you live in the US. Although most people know them for giving low income families/mothers vouchers for food, they are in fact a nutrition center for pregnant women and children. You can go in at any time to get information packets on nutrition, and other things relating to the pregnancy/birthing process. Plus they have nutritionists on hand to talk to you or answer any questions you may have!

Your body is 'remembering'
You generally start to show sooner with your second because your body remembers the previous pregnancy. You will also most likely feel the baby kicking sooner because of that as well.

You're completely normal, that's what's wrong with you. It's just like that. 1st baby, some people don't show until 3rd trimester, 2nd baby, a little earlier, the 3rd baby, you might as well just wake up in the morning and put on your maternity clothes.

You're already a little stretched out after the first one, so that belly pops right out with the second one.

you show right away with your second and third etc children because your uterus is not as tight as it was the first time around. its nothing to worry about, totally normal.
