Here is something I found about using human baby formula:
Commercial human baby formula, made up at twice the recommended concentration, can be used on a short-term basis for kittens. The percentage of nutrients in baby formula is similar to that of cow's milk, except that the lactose level is lower. However, baby formula provides less than 50 percent of the protein and fat that growing kittens require.
so, if you've got some on hand, give it a try. Then go out and get some special formula from a pet store. They also have teeny tiny bottles or syringes for kittens.
Goes without saying that this little guy should also be seen by a vet.

I wouldn't think it would have the same additives that the kitten needs versus a human baby. Wal-Mart sells kitten formula and you can get a little bottle there as well. Keep the kitten formula refrigerated after opening and to warm up the bottle simple add formula and then run under hot water until warm, you don't want it too hot.
At this young an age try and remember the kitten may still need to be MADE to go to the bathroom, so after you feed the kitten, rub a soft towel, or soft tissue along it's rump to stimulate urination and possibly poop. This is what momma does after feeding.

You might want to put this question over in pets. Anyway I do not suggest using human infant formula for a kitten. You need to go buy the kitten formula or try to find someone to take care of the poor kitty. Kitten digestion is very different than a human's so it really not a good idea. Also at 4 weeks you can introduce soft food. That would make it much easier on you. You can add some of the kitten formula into the soft food. Feel free to contact me if you have any other questions or worries. I comend you for trying to help this tiny kitten.

NO- you need to feed it kitten formula. It is almost as expensive as baby formula though.
Go to Petsmart of Petco and they will have that, bottles and nipples for use with a kitten. I mixed the kitten formula with wet cat food when we hand-raised 3 cats left by thier feral mom. They refused the bottle- but would lick it up when it was thin and they did well.
Remember to use a washcloth to help your kitten urinate- they cannot do that on their own yet- their momma cat does it for them.
DO NOT USE CATMILK- it is not the same as kitten formula!
Good luck!

I think that it should be ok for a one time feeding. But in reality, kitten milk would be a lot better for it. I think that most pet stores sell it. If you have canned food you can mix it with water and put it in a syringe and feed it that way.

They actually sell kitten formula with a syringe at pet stores, that would be the best I would think.

you can use kitten formula or you can use powdered milk mixed with karo syrup and water (i'm so not kidding, that's what they used to use in the vet clinic i worked at). cheaper, and it works just as well. :P
