I had a Rhogam shot 4 years ago with my first child. He has developmental delays and I'm afraid that Rhogam could have caused it because I read where it contains high levels of mercury. I am pregnant now, have Rh- blood, and I don't plan to have any more children. Is it necessary to get the shot again?

Do you know if a pregnant woman drinks a small can of Pepsi that it's gonna have a birth defect on her growing child? Please explain. Note that this woman hadn't had a soda like a month now and her body is craving for one - badly!! And, all she's been drinking since she found out that she was pregnant is fruit juice, plain water, milk, V8 vegetable juice, carrot juice, lemonade and iced tea. Would one small caffiene soda hurt her growing child if she has one?

Please please please nobody get mad! This is just a question I want some different answers to, from both sides;

Bottle-feeders;

As much as you get on here and say you're so happy you chose to bottle-feed and your kid is just as healthy, smart, etc., why are you mostly the ones who get on here and say 'Why is breastfeeding so special?' It just seems like you're second-guessing yourselves and trying to feel better about it. You know the research, and as much as you can say 'My kid's just as healthy as someone's kid I know who's breastfed', studies look at millions of babies as a group, not your kid compared to your friend's.

Breastfeeders;

As secure as I'm sure you are with your decision, don't always answer those questions and get all defensive about it. Nobody condemns you for breastfeeding and no matter how much you tell someone who bottle-feeds that it's better for their baby, they obviously look past that and are stuck to their decision! It's a CHOICE!

Is it normal for a 36 year old woman to lose her period, but hasn't had sex during her ovulation period? I cannot find the answer anywhere, and my OB/GYN is on vacation for the month.

My second-grade daughter is going to be eight in January, and I think she might enjoy one of these organizations. I already know that Campfire is technically co-ed now (though I wonder how many troops actually have boys in them), and that Brownies are affiliated with Girl Scouts. But are there any sort of philosophical or practical differences?

I had unprotected sex with my bf (yes i know STUPID) but i've been worried that i could be pregnant... I still have about 2 weeks until my first missed period but I've been getting sick to my stomach (no vomiting though), always thirsty, very tired, unable to sleep at night, and I started gaining weight when i started the pill but i'm scared that part of that could be from being pregnant. (you will notice that said unprotected sex. This is correct. I forgot to take the pill the night before intercourse.) if anyone knows any signs that i should watch out for please let me know and if there is anything that i could do to prevent the pregnancy please let me be aware of this because i'm not ready for a baby. (I'm still in school and am financially unable to have a child. not to mention my parents will disown me and my bf, even tho my mom put me on the pill incase i would have sex) It's really stressing me out and if anyone can help please do so... thank you very much.

My son is 17 months old and suddenly wants nothing to do with his bottle at night. He's still doing ok on his morning bottle but at night hes only drinking about 2 or 3 oz, and he usually drank about 7 or 8. Is this a normal age for kids to not want a bottle anymore? Should i try giving him milk in a sippy cup at every meal? How much milk should a 17 month old be drinking? Help!

pronounce.
Also is it true that a general rule to follow when naming your child, is that if you have along last name, give your child a short first name, and vice versa?

I am 7 months pregnant with my 4th (and final) child, and my husband and i just found out a couple days ago that it's a girl.
We're ecstatic, but the problem is we're drawing a blank when it comes to names. We're considering the names addison and siena, but have no idea about middle names. However any other suggestions would be more than welcome. We want a unique name, but not so completely crazy that our child will hate us for all eternity, lol. We would like it to go well with our other childrens' names as well. Their names are:
Madeleine Grace, 7 (twin)
Noah James, 7 (twin)
Carissa Rose, 4
Thanks so much!

Of course you would call her "Mrs. Smith" in front of the kids, but what about outside of class?

How common is it? I have had two children and I can't for the life of me remember having this? Maybe I did and just really didn't think much of it?? What are your thoughts on this? Is it really common? Do all women have it?

ive been told women who get their periods could still be pregnant. today is the day before my period is "due" and ive started spotting very lightly with minor cramping. i took a test today it came up negative. could i still be pregnant and its still too early to tell? we've only been having unprotected sex for the past month (exactly a month ago on the 6th) before and after my last period. when will i be able to tell if i am or not for sure? the last time we've had unprotected sex was yesterday. should i just wait a month?

my fiance was absent from his sons life for 2 years. we have been seeing and getting his son every weekend for the past year. he was even with us the whole summer break. now his son is ten years old. we both have been thinking of filing for custody of his son for many reasons. one is he claims that he hardly sees his mother. some more reasons are he claimed that one of her ex's gave him a swirly (head in toilet) and his mom thought that it was funny. he is failing in school and his mom even told us that she didnt have time to help him because she works two jobs. which we recently found that to be a lie. he has had to share a bedroom with his two sisters and at times had to sleep on the couch or floor because his moms friends would come with there kids to stay the night. lately she is complaing that she is having a real hard time with him. and we never have problems that bad with him. she refuses to help with the transpotation when it comes to getting him.

I'd be yanking my kids out of that school so fast they wouldn't know what hit them.

Do you think the students are truly safe, if a gunman DID enter the school, and she DID draw her weapon? Does she think a gunman would wait patiently while she sees to it that the students are "in an office and out of the line of fire"?

I'm all for the second ammendment right to own a gun, but if every person going through an ugly divorce gets to bring a gun on school property, doesn't it seem that it would just be inviting trouble?

What are your thoughts on this? Are you for or against, why, and under what circumstances?
