they usually say 6 weeks, but my doctor had told me if I was feeling fine earlier then it was okay.. with my first I had sex 4 weeks after giving birth, and with my 2nd 6 weeks after giving birth.

It's normally 6 weeks AFTER giving birth AFTER your 6 week doctor check-up... Although, for some woman it may be a while before they want/able to have sex. Babies are a lot of work and have a way of zapping one's labido. Also, even if you are nursing it's still a good idea to use a reliable birth control there's a very, very good chance of getting pregnant during that time. Good luck

Usually 4 to 6 weeks. Wait till your bleeding has stopped. If you got stitches, wait the 6 weeks. Also, unless your wanting another one right away, make sure you use a contraceptive because we are very fertile after having a baby.

The Doctor's tell you to wait 6 weeks, but most people have sex before that and if you do I would suggest not having sex before at least 4 weeks.

They say 6 weeks so everything can heal down there, but if you have a perfect normal natural birth, no tears, no pains... if you are feeling up to it sooner, you should be fine. I know some people who have had sex right away after birth, and some people who were so sore that even after 6 weeks that had no interest.

Definitely wait until the head comes all the way out LOL Just kidding. Seriously it depends on how you feel. Some women feel ready to get back into things even before their post partum check(that happened to me once and I got pregnant again!) so be careful! Usually they say at least 4-6wks.

They recommend 6 weeks, but I know several people who have done it as early as 2 to 3 weeks. I'd think it would be best to wait atleast until the bleeding stops though.
