Okay i am 12 weeks and 4 days pregnant and i want to dye my hair back dark brown what type of hair dye would you consider for me thatw ould be safe ???? Thank you to all whom answerd

Pretty much any hair dye is safe, there's no evidence that it harms the baby - ask your doc.
But I will say that during pregnancy your hormones do effect your hair and could affect the way the dye colors your hair, and it might not look like you want it to! I tried to dye mine when pregnant, and instead of just a subtle shade of lighter brown, it went orange - and I had used that same color and brand for years. I'm not the only one who has had these kinds of issues either.

I doubt the hair dye will harm the baby - my doctor and midwife have both given me the ok on going to the salon. However, I have heard that coloring your hair during pregnancy might not give you the results you want - there is no guarantee the colors will look right! I guess it has to do with hormones.

Hair dyes are fine and there is no evidence that it does any harm to the baby.I dyed mine when I was pregnant.If you are concerned try the henna ones from the health food shops.

the dr's told me and my sister that as long as we had it foiled in a well ventilated area we would be fine..he discouraged us from getting the dye on our scalps. We had 2 different dr's in 2 different locations. hope this helps
