Do you have any other problems with it? Things like severe headaches, rusty colored urine or anything? Try going to a pharmacy that has one of those self check blood pressure things and see if your blood pressure is normal. It could be more than just water weight if that's the case. If everything else is fine and you are drinking all the water you can and exercising then look at your diet. You might find that there is something about your diet attributing to the water retention. It could be salt, or it could be sugar. If you think it could be sugar related bring it up to your dr as it could be a sign diabetes even. What I always found helped with swollen feet and ankles was to eat lots of watermelon, cucumbers, and drink black tea because they act as a diuretic and can help your body get rid of excess water. It usually doesn't take months to get rid of it after the baby is born. It should be more like a matter of days to weeks.

Sodium, Salt, makes you retain water. Reduce that and add lots of fruits. They help you urinate more often. Try going to the bathroom once every hour to hour and a half for a day or two. Don't wait to feel the urge, just go sit, you will be able to go. Good Luck!

Alot of the time with water weight, it just takes time to come back down. My best advice to you is to do what my sister did, and just stay active. She did that and did not have any problems. Good luck!

Reduce the salt in your diet for one. I'd talk to your doctor on your next check up and see if he can prescribe anything. I don't want to tell you anything because of your baby's safety.

Drink 1 oz cider vinegar (not cider flavored) daily, it's a natural diruetic, not harmful, and helps keep blood pressure down.
