This is just a friendly question that I have to ask, what is your opinion on goodnites/pullup and diapers? Are they the same thing or do you think they are different? My opinion is they are all diapers. The all have the same absorbant material to absorb urine, the only difference is how they are applied, tape tabs or all-in-one elastic waist. I am asking becuase I have seen and also answered some questions that some people are so against having a child in "Diapers" but "Pullups" or "Goodnites"are okay. Now I know what most will say that diapers are associated with babies and pullups and goodnites are more for older children but at the end of the day they are all diapers, either tape on diapers or pullup diapers. Again this is just a friendly question, please don't go analysing and making all kinds of judgements on answers, I just think its ironic that some think diapers for anyone past 3 is just wrong but a pullup type diaper (goodnites included) is just fine.

Thanks

She's a character: reserved, very proper, skeptical, and quiet. She's also very intelligent and brave ... her parents were killed when she was young and she and her elder brother were adopted by the villan of the story. She and her brother were both initially trained to follow in their adoptive father's footsteps (of course, he wasn't blatantly evil, so it was very subtle training) but both eventually rebelled against him. Her brother found out exactly what kind of things his adopted father was in to and was "sent away" to help with one of his fathers businesses, and was killed. Now she's trying to figure things out on her own without getting killed.

Her late brother's name was Mason; I haven't decided on a surname for them yet.

Heres a picture of what she'll look like: http://i12.tinypic.com/526kn50.jpg

Any ideas?

My son is not quite three, but is rapidly outgrowing his 4T stuff. The stores seems to have very few items in the 5T size (and underwear doesn't appear to come in 5T at all). When I head into the boys' department, the smallest size is also a size 5, but seems larger...maybe?

Again, because I cannot find a lot of 5T stuff for comparsion, I'm a little confused. For reference, I shop at normal places like Old Navy, Target & Mervyn's.

I'm now 15 weeks pregnant and I plan on bottle feeding my baby when he/she comes. I was just wondering if you chose to bottle feed only, did you do it from day one in the hospital or did you start after a few weeks?

***And yes, I've done my research on the breast vs the bottle. There is no need for criticism, that's not what I'm asking. Thanks!

How long did you take off for maternity leave? How many weeks total?

How far along were you when you took leave?

Having your baby at home without a medical professional, if all goes well.

Do you think this is a good idea?

If not, why?

Thanks

For me, the decision to nurse (to the best of my ability) has been a no-brainer. Even when I return to work, I plan to pump so even if I'm not physically there the baby will have milk.

Last weekend my husband and I went to a 'marathon' prenatal class at the hospital. There were fifty couples (nearly all first-time parents-to-be) and the part about breastfeeding was at the end. The instructors (two nurses) said that anyone not planning to nurse could leave. After that, I counted only fifteen couples in there! I was really amazed.

I understand that a lot of women plan to work after the baby, but formula only? I mean, formula costs a lot of money, so I'd think people would want to at least know about the nursing option.

So, would you have stuck around? If you're choosing to try to breastfeed, how come? And if not, what's your reason? I'm really curious.

Each of my kids have unique issues medical, developmental, mental, etc. I talk my questions over with the Dr all the time. Right now, my youngest is in PT/OT/ST 3xs a week. My two older kids are in therapy once/week. I get concerned when teachers, family or friends tell me they think something is wrong.
I think I spend more time at the Dr than most parents b/c my children are different than most kids. Some people seem to think I'm overreacting.
FYI - My youngest (2) has sensory issues and is being tested for developmental disorders and autism. My middle child (7) is diagnosed bipolar and ADHD. My oldest (8) is ADHD, with possible mood disorder and exceptionally intelligent. His teachers have told me they are concerned b/c he is socially immature.

A friend's mother just died, and my husband's mother is close to passing as well. We have a 6-month-old daughter. What should she be wearing to the funerals? Do they even make black baby clothes? If you have any experience with this, please let me know! Thank you.

Im 34 weeks 2 days and my baby has been breech since I was about 20 weeks. A lot of people have told me she still has plenty of time to turn and what not...Well today when I went to the doctor, he said he thinks I have a abnormally sized uterus and he's almost positive that she wont turn. He told me the when I go back in 2 weeks we will talk more about it. He also said that he is not going to try and turn her himself because Im too small. Also my baby measures at 32 weeks instead of 34 weeks, so shes is about 4 1/2 lbs right now.

So my question is..Is there any other women who have had similar experiences? Where they didnt think that your baby would turn? Or they said they werent going to try and flip them?

thanks in advance

Should kids get spankings? I think that they do. If you repeatedly talk to a child about their behavior. I think that todays kids don't get enough spankings. Somewhere along the way kids thought "If you spank me, I will call Family and Children Services". Family and Children Services are for people that have problems, real problems. I don't call spanking a child for misbehavior, bad grades, smart mouth, not listening and etc abuse. This is called good parenting, not hitting. I think that this is the problem with todays children, not enough disciline and no respect. Tell me what you think.... By the way I am 33 and not 63, therefore I am not stuck back in the old days. What do you think about todays kids?

Well Im married, 19 (20 in june) my hub is about to be 23. And he wants kids, and Im more on the wait a couple years thing

BUT
noticing how hard it can be to have a baby I wonder if I should get on birthcontrol
Or should i stay off it and if we happen to get pregnant then okay?

We've been married 9 months, only seen each other about 3months of that time, hes in Iraq now until February. As for the sex life and chances of getting pregnant, he rarely does the deed in me, more of a skin man i guess. sorry if thats too graphic but in about te 9 months married and on birthcontrol he did about 5 times. So its not that often and yes i know pre sperm could get me prego.

So should i get on birthcontrol and not chance it really at all ?

Or since it can be so hard to get pregnant should i stay off and just take the chance and be happy if it happens?

I have the necessary and may have overpacked which is why I'm not listing anything. You may list something I forgot that can be important.

Palm Springs is in CA and its like desert type. We are going to a resort, we will be in the pool and stuff.

Advice please.

When I saw it, I just thought it was incredible that a child could learn things like this at such a young age. It's really cool in my opinion and wanted to share with as many parents as I could.

I was just wondeirng if anyone elses insurance only covers one sonogram? I was kinda upset about it becuase I friend who is pregnant gets to have a sonogram at every doctors checkup and she gets to see how her baby is growing. If I only get one, I would figure that they would probably do it at the end, to make sure the baby is down and ready to go and stuff.

They said that they will cover more sonograms if there is medical need for it, like if the baby is in distress, or i were having a high risk pregnancy. But so far I am not, and I am not hoping for that just so I can see the baby.

Just wondering when they would do the one sonogram that I get. Will I not be able to know what I am having until the very end? Thanks ladies!

4 months ago I got off of birth conrol. About 2 months ago I had an ectopic pregnancy. I still have not gotten my period and started having the same pains I was having when I found out I was pregnant the first time. Out of impulse I took a pregnancy test...it came out positive. Honestly, whether this test is accurate or not (I will be seeing my gyno next week to make certain), I am unsure how to feel right now. I am 29 years old, in an unhealthy relationship, working a full-time corporate design job and am very confused as to what to do. I do not have family around me and my good friends are scattered around the country.

In my heart I want a baby, in my head I do not. I do not want an abortion and am skeptical about adoption. What would you do in my situation?

FYI: I have about 2K in necessary bills a month...including student and car loans.
